Another 20% off code with BA

British Airways is also offering its Executive Club members 20% off all worldwide flights for travel from 3 December 2020 onwards, when they book by 28 November, 2020. More information is here. The Executive Club is free to join and as soon as a customer joins they can make the most of this discount.

If you are an Executive Club Member, BA should have sent you an email containing your discount code. I have not seen one though! You can also find your code by logging in to your Executive Club account and visiting the homepage where your discount code will be displayed under the main search bar. (not on mine yet either)  Hopefully, since they sent me the details this morning for TLFL the rest should follow to us all shortly. If not there is exactly the same offer here.

The offer ends on 28 November 2020 at midnight.

To claim your discount:

  1. Log in to your Executive Club account
  2. Search and select your flights
  3. On ‘Review your flights’ page, select ‘Apply an eVoucher’
  4. In the pop-up window, select ‘Promotional code’, enter your discount code and click ‘Apply’
  5. Your discount will automatically be applied at checkout

Oneworld match Virgin’s  £999 fares

Seattle Skyline at Sunset with Space needle

Following in Virgin’s footsteps, Oneworld have matched the prices to Virgin’s fantastic £999 Upper Class fares to the US.

It only appears to be on routes where they compete so there are quite a few places that are still high priced. But under £1000 to the US is not to be sniffed at.

The £999 fares are not available on Brtish Airways as they have their own 20% off code (see above). If you looked yesterday and found prices had gone up on BA, they are starting to drop again so it’s worth looking over the next day or two. The prices to places where they are competing against Virgin have generally dropped to around £1250 with BA which means when you take off the 20% code then you are matching the Virgin price. Other fares have also dropped which I have included below. By the time you take off the discount, there are some good deals now.

If there is a choice I would take into account the book with confidence policies with both airlines. BA is more comprehensive in what is guaranteed but American normally refund quickly. For peace of mind I would go with BA myself. On some routes with the discount, BA could be a bit cheaper. However, the discount fares are very restrictive with BA to the US as they are only available until the end of March!

The fares on American are:

  • New York £992
  • Boston £996
  • Los Angeles £992
  • Miami £992

You can book with American here or check Skyscanner for the cheapest online travel agent prices.

  1. These deals don’t seem to be available on ba.com direct, have to go through Skyscanner

  2. And can’t find anywhere to enter voucher code via BA through skyscanner
