I am a fan of Hotel du Vin being something of a wine lover. I have eaten and stayed a number of times in the Hotel du Vin Winchester and have used this offer to get something of a bargain. Hotel Du Vin started in Winchester and has now grown into quite a large group of hotels. Each bedroom is sponsored by a particular wine or champagne house. They are individually decorated and feature luxuries such as a Nespresso machine, hand sprung mattresses with goose feathered duvets and pillows which are covered in Egyptian cotton covers and cases, The bathrooms have monsoon power showers, oversize baths, robes and fluffy towels.

There are a few catches with the offer but if it suits your plans anyway you won’t find a better offer for this quality of hotel. This offer is valid until 31st March

2018 on Sunday nights except Bank Holidays where it would be the Monday night instead. To qualify for the rate you need to spend £75 on food and drink in the Bistro or Bar on the same Sunday evening (between two), then the room rate is from £25 per room per night. If your spend in the Bistro or Bar is less than £75, the difference in cost will be added to your room rate e.g. if you spend only £50, a £25 addition will be made to your room rate, making the room rate £50. The rate doesn’t include breakfast so you will need to factor that in as well. The rates quoted are for the lowest category of room but you can pay the extra to get a better room.

Higher rates apply during July and August for some properties and understandably you can’t use the offer in Edinburgh during August.

Make sure you read the terms and conditions for the specific hotel as some require you to book dinner when booking the reservation for example.
