OFFER: BA to Cape Town Club World from £1273 and Premium economy to Oz/New Zealand from £1020

BA to Cape Town from £1273

Oslo is currently the hot place to fly from for great fares. You can read about starting your journey there in this article. As well as a really cheap Qatar deal to Japan from £1350, there is now a great deal to Cape Town. Cape Town is one of my favourite places to visit and in fact, I am off there this week! There is beautiful scenery, great weather, wildlife from penguins to whales and not forgetting all the vineyards.

Where I plan to spend this week!

The offer is available with an extra stop in Johannesburg which you may want if you want the extra tier points. The other reason for choosing indirect is the aircraft type. BA tend to use their oldest B747s on Cape Town but on Johannesburg, they have the A380. However, there are flights direct from Oslo to Heathrow and then to Cape Town, all on British Airways.

BA Premium economy to Australia from £1020

Sydney Opera House

British Airways also has an ex EU fare to Syndey from most German airports such as Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart. Obviously, on such a long trip you would probably want to upgrade with Avios, but Avios availability is rare on this route. If you want to upgrade with Avios then I would only do this at the time of booking rather than chancing it. If however, you have a Gold Upgrade voucher (after 2500 Tier points) then this would be a great use of it. Availability is pretty limited so it is worth looking at multiple starting points if you need specific dates.
