Offer: Flash sales – Asia from £958 and Australia from £1266 business class return

Sydney opera house

Every year in November Air China have some great value Ex EU deals to Australia, New Zealand and the Far East from Germany. This year’s deal launched today.

Whilst the fares are great, I would suggest making sure you know what you are getting for your money. I recommend doing some research first by reading a few reviews online. Skytrax only award them 3 out of 5 for their business class compared with Qatar’s score of 5. They are part of Star Alliance, however,  if you wanted to earn some miles.

The seats

They do have some decent flat seats but they are in a 2-2-2 configuration on the B777 which you can see in the video below. The slight staggering of the B777 seats does make it slightly easier for aisle access, as I found out when I flew in these seats on AA transcontinental business class. The B777 is used on the  Germany to Beijing  as well as a B747 from Frankfurt) routes as well as to Sydney.

The B747-800 has seats in a 2-2 configuration on the Upper deck.

Their B787 is used on the Auckland route.

Their new A50 has better seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. This is available from Munich and Frankfurt to Shanghai.

Booking

This needs a special mention as you can’t find these prices on Google flights at all or the UK versions of Skyscanner or Momondo. If you go to the .de versions of them, it should work. Booking must be done on the German Air China site if you want to book direct. If you have issues booking you may find you need to do it by phone.
