On a nicer subject than looking at the world of aviation slowly dying, I thought I would do a quick round-up of some of the very good offers for business class flights that are around in late 2020 and 2021 when hopefully we will be able to travel again. It is worth checking the airline’s change policy as well. In most cases that will give you extra peace of mind to book a flight.

Another good tip to minimise cash outlay and risk is to book a holiday with BA by adding on one night at a hotel or cheap car hire. That way your exposure is limited to the deposit if you have to cancel.

In this article, I will look specifically at the US and Mexico.

Europe to Hawaii from £1180

Turtle Bay Resort review Oahu

Oahu’s North Shore

You can fly to all the main islands: Honolulu (Oahu), Kahului (Maui), Lihue (Kauai)  and Kailua-Kona (Big Island).

You may find difficulty booking some of these departure points direct, so far Stockholm seems to be the cheapest and easiest option all round. Otherwise, it’s worth trying an online agent such as Expedia or Priceline. Flights can be booked most widely with American Airlines who are offering free changes on bookings for reservations made up to 15 April 2020 and British Airways whose ‘Book With Confidence’ commitment means you can change your destination, date of travel, or both, with no change fee. This is valid for all new bookings made up to 31 May for travel between now and 31 December 2020.

  1. This sure does brighten the current moos Thank you. Would also love to see the Tier Point Run page updated with the current Hawaii deal, showing max TP earning vs most flatbed routes ?✌ Thanks again

  2. Thanks for these great offers. Can we also have tier points next time as well? Thank you!

  3. Michele, I booked a direct flight on BA LHR to Toronto for £1170 the other day. Out on 21 December 2020 and back mid January 2021. Considering this was over the Christmas period and Toronto does not always get the very best fares I thought this was a pretty good deal. Felt safe with the BA guarantee for flight departures before 31 December if God forbid we are still in this situation

    • Hi Tony. Yes, I had heard about the London deals but it looks like they have gone now. You got a great deal

      • Just checked and it has pretty much doubled now for the exact same dates. Delighted to have got in during the ‘bargain’ window!

  4. Hi Michele, thanks so much for this! I just booked SOF-OGG (Maui) with AA/BA for a week at the end of October for £1200. Since I routed SOF-LHR-JFK-LAX-OGG and back the same way, I’m looking at 1000 TP! Let’s hope sincerely that things will be ok by then.
