OFFERS: British Airways Avios Flash sale – part pay with Avios worth up to 4 x more

From 20 – 24 October, Avios could be worth up to four times more than usual when you use them as part pay. Usually, part pay with Avios is not as good value as a standard redemption. However, with these rates it becomes a better proposition, and obviously it means you don’t need to worry about the availability of Avios flights either.

The offer is available to Executive Club Members who have 250 or more Avios and applies to bookings made until 23:59 (GMT) Monday  24 October 2022 in Euro Traveller (economy) and Club Europe (business) on any British Airways operated one-way or return flight departing from London Gatwick. Offer valid on selected travel dates between 20 October 2022 – 30 April 2023.  

 The discounts per person will be as follows:

Single flights –

• £5 in exchange for 250 Avios,
• £9 for 450 Avios,
• £16 for 800 Avios,
• £28 for 1,400 Avios,
• £40 for 2,000 Avios,
• £50 for 2,500 Avios. 

 Return flight per person:

• £10 in exchange for 500 Avios,
• £18 for 900 Avios,
• £32 for 1,600 Avios,
• £56 for 2,800 Avios,
• £80 for 4,000 Avios,
• £100 for 5,000 Avios.

As an example for a “standard” Club Europe business class return to Glasgow you would pay £50 in taxes and charges plus 17,000 Avios. Whereas if you bought a cheap cash ticket at around £190 return in Club Europe you could use 5000 Avios plus £90 which is a decent deal. Obviously, the Avios ticket is more flexible, but the cash ticket gets your tier points and Avios.
