Malaysian Business class holidays
Trailfinders, a respected UK travel agent, has some cut price holidays to Malaysia and Australia flying with Malaysian Airlines. Given that even in the current Malaysian Airlines offers, flights to Malaysia are around the £2000 mark, this is an excellent price. The Trailfinders offer page is here.
Although Malaysian Airlines has suffered some terrible misfortunes in the recent past, they offer a solid, if dated, business class service. Their seats are fully flat but not near the standards of Qatar or Cathay for example. The seats are in a 2-2-2 configuration so not ideal for solo travellers. If you were interested in the deal to Melbourne they are now flying their newly refurbished A330 with the latest business class seats on the Kuala Lumpur to Melbourne route. Being part of One World, you will of course earn Avios and tier points on the flights.
I would recommend considering Borneo, particularly if you are into hiking, diving, snorkelling or wildlife. Borneo is home to world-class wildlife including the orangutan as well as the proboscis monkey. I went on my honeymoon and would definitely recommend it as a once in a lifetime experience.
Borneo is not only for those who want to be active, there are good beaches and luxury hotels such as the 2 Shangri-la hotel properties. I stayed in the Shangri-la Tanjung Aru which we enjoyed, although not so much the fact they chilled the red wine!
The deals to Malaysia are all for 7 nights flying Business Class from London Heathrow on the A380.
