Hilton launches new points bonus – link updated

One of the reasons I really like Hilton’s Honors loyalty scheme is that with their bonuses it is much easier to rack up the points versus other schemes. The points bonus offers alternate between a set number of points per stay or a multiplier of 2 or 3 times your total stay points. The current offer is a multiplier until 31 December.

Their newest points bonus will launch 1 January 2022 but you can register now at Points Unlimited Promotion Registration – Hilton Honors – to earn 2,500 Bonus Points for every stay at more than 6,700 Hilton properties worldwide between 1 January 1 and 1 May 2022. If you stay at expensive properties for longer periods this is the worse of the two types of promotions as the multiplier works better f you spend more. However, the rate of 2500 is better than past bonus points.

There is no cap to the number of Bonus Points a member can earn during the promotion period.

You can find the promotion page here.

Hilton Increases US Food & Beverage Credit

Everywhere else in the world you get breakfast for free if you are Gold or Diamond with Hilton. In the US you now get a food and beverage credit which can be used at any point, not just for breakfast. If you are a breakfast eater, it’s probably not as good as at high-end properties it barely covers a single main item. If you don’t like breakfast, then it’s a great bonus.

In 2022, Hilton will be offering Gold and Diamond members a Daily Food & Beverage Credit at their luxury, full-service, lifestyle and Hilton Garden Inn hotel brands in the U.S. This credit is offered as part of the Hilton Honors MyWay benefits, in place of the prior complimentary continental breakfast.

Starting 1 February 2022, Hilton are also increasing the credit amounts across the full-service and lifestyle brands from $12 to $15 per night, and $15to $18 per night in select markets.
