10% off Heathrow official parking
If I am booking Official car parking at Heathrow unless I am using my Heathrow Reward points, I nearly always use TopCashback as the cashback varies between 7-10% (excluding on VAT). There is currently up to 10% cashback on Heathrow Official parking with Topcashback for the next two days, so if you need to book something now is the time to do it. To get the full 10% you need to be a Plus member – which costs a whopping £5 a year!! It’s well worth it as you can an extra 5% on most cashback transactions and easily get that back in one transaction.
You can still earn your Heathrow Rewards points too as it just takes you to the normal booking site and you can sign in during the process. There is currently also a bonus on booking Official Heathrow parking – bookings made by 31 January 2020 for Official Heathrow Parking until 31 March will earn 250 extra Heathrow Rewards.
Topcashback allows you to earn cashback on most of your online travel purchases such as flights, hotels and more. As it just redirects you to the normal website for the brand, you get all your usual loyalty and status points and perks. Topcashback is free to join here.
Tier point run offers
Before Christmas I covered the best tier point runs at the moment in this article. There were two other well-known tier point runs that readers suggested that I didn’t cover. The reason they weren’t included is that they were not necessarily the best value or the most comfortable way to get tier points. But both are very effective and have some nice destinations at the end so here goes:
Bucharest to Phoenix
This has been around for a couple of years and whilst it is not such great value at £1491 as the previous £1100 price, it is still decent value if you maximise or want to go to Phoenix anyway. The drawback is that during the summer it is crazy hot – but if you just lounge around the pool it is bearable! The Phoenix area has a lot to offer including great scenery, luxury resort hotels and good shopping and restaurants. You can read more about it in this article about Phoenix and Scottsdale.
There are lots of routeings possible in the rules depending on how extreme you want to be:
- Bucharest – London – Helsinki – New York – Los Angeles – Phoenix and return the same way = 960 tier points
- Bucharest – London – New York – Los Angeles – Phoenix return = 800
- Bucharest – London – Phoenix return = 440
The TLFL team did a tier point run there in August 2018 which you can read about in these articles:
You can also find guidance on how to plan tier points runs here.
The current offer has these rules:

Helsinki to Malaga
If you want to get long haul tier points on a fairly short flight then this is a good value option. The drawback is that Finnair uses their short-haul aircraft for this which means nearly 5 hours in one of these:
However, at 280 tier points for £426, you may feel its worth it given you only have to take two flights and could enjoy a nice break in Malaga at the same time. Add in a cheap £230 return in Club Europe to Helsinki and you will have got 440 tier points for £656 in one trip.
