What is the Status Match campaign?
StatusMatch.com, in partnership with citizenM, offers customers who have frequent flyer status in airline and hotel loyalty programs to apply, pay an application fee and receive 12 months of free membership with the mycitizenM+ program. The customer can submit their request at citizenm.statusmatch.com
What airlines and hotels are eligible?
All airlines and hotels are eligible globally. You must hold elite airline or hotel status (not lounge status and not a subscription).

Do I have to be a mycitizenM member to participate in the campaign?
Yes, to be eligible you first need to create a free mycitizenM account at citizenm.com. Then, use the same email address to apply for mycitizenM+ status at citizenm.statusmatch.com. Once approved, you will receive a discount code to redeem the 1-year free membership here.

During the registration process, we will also ask you for proof of your frequent flyer status (for example, a photo of your card) and you may be required to provide proof of residence or identity.

A warning here: I went through the fairly annoying application process, and got the status (with BA Silver), but when I went to get the membership, the page insisted on asking for a credit card. That was irritating enough, but when I entered a Revolut on-time card, even though I approved the payment status on the Revolut app (£0), the CitizenM website bounced the “payment”. No way am I entering details of a credit card and then have to remember a year down the line to cancel in time to avoid £100 odd charge.
It’s a pity, as I stayed at the CitizenM in Bankside last year, and thought it was a really cool concept, and very good value.
From my perspective, this is sharp practice, and I’m not having anything to do with it. Neither am I minded to say at CitizenM hotels again.
