Best travel accessory bargains for Amazon Prime Day

  • 16/07/2024
  • Michele

If you want to stock up on Amazon travel products, today is the day to do it with special reductions for Prime Day on 16 and 17 July 2024.

Here are my picks of the bargains and some of my favorite travel accessories:

Apple Airtag

If you want to buy some more or haven’t yet got round to buying some, I find them invaluable for travelling. You can use them for everything from handbags to checked luggage or even keys. They allow you to track the item via your phone or iPad and you can play a sound to find it as well. I found it useful when my luggage has been mislaid or to know whether it made the flight or not. Or in the case last week, find out I am standing at the wrong baggage carousel!

They are normally £28 each but Amazon Prime Day has a pack of 4 for £84, a saving of 29% which you can find here.

Hot Weather

If you tend to overheat when it’s hot, a personal fan is a godsend. I have two different ones.

The first type folds up small for a bag. You can either hold it or it opens out to sit on a table and charges via USB. It comes in a variety of colours and can also be used as a power bank which makes it perfect for cutting down on the amount you have to carry around. It comes in a variety of colors and the blue and black ones are the cheapest at a very cheap £6.74 including the 16% Prime day discount. You can find the fan here.

The other type I have is slightly bigger and more powerful. This would be something I would pop on a table in its stand although you can use it as a handheld one as well. I use it at home for my desk as well as I find it very powerful.

This one is not in Prime Day but has 15% off anyway bringing it down to £8.49 for the blue version and £8.99 for the other colours. You can find the fan here.

Samsonite Lite-Shock – Spinner Suitcase

This is the suitcase I have, and I’m on my second one as I loved the first one so much. The first one was still going strong after 7 years, but I decided to get a new one as it was getting grubby, and my overpacking had broken the interior zip. Prior to having this case I was going through a new case every 6-9 months as they were constantly being damaged by airlines. My latest version has been going for 18 months and still looks as good as new.

I love these cases as they are amazingly lightweight – the Large version that I have weighs just. The other bonus is that they are expandable but not in a way that involves extra zips. I don’t understand how it works, but somehow, it always seems to accommodate all my extra holiday purchases even when it looks like there is no way it would close.

Amazon has 15% off the entire range in the stunning turquoise option which should make your case easy to identify.

You can find the options on this page on Amazon with the large size starting at £263.50.

Travel blanket/pillow

This lightweight travel blanket is an alternative to a pashmina which is what I usually use if I get cold on a flight and don’t want to use the duvet/quilt. It folds down into a pouch which can also be used as a pillow. Ideal if the plane pillow is not enough for you. It comes with a strap for carrying and something so you can clip it onto your backpack.

The BOACAY Packable Travel Blanket is reduced to £21.23 with 15% off.

Travel toiletry storage

I never take full size toiletries with me as you are just lugging heavy bottles when you only need a small amount. I find that 100ml is more than enough for 2 full weeks for things like shampoo and conditioner.

Cult brand Kitsch has this great travel set reduced by 20% to just £6.39 for the black colourway. The reason I like it is because of the flat packaging for larher toiletries which takes up less room and wastes less space in your luggage. This set includes one 30-ml spray bottle, two 30-ml pump bottles, two 0.35-oz mini jars, three 90-ml flat pouch bottles, one mini funnel, one mini spatula and one mini pipette stored inside a reusable travel pouch. You can find it here.

I also use a hanging toiletry bag so you don’t need to take everything out but can just hang it up in the bathroom. These are really handy for road trips and cruises as you can find everything easily without unpacking. The one I have is reduced by 15% to £19.54 and you can find it in several colours here.

Cruise essentials

If you are going on a cruise, there are a couple of things that many people take if you are in a standard cabin and need more space.

The first is a shower caddy, as shower space and shelves for your own products are usually limited. This one would also be ideal for the gym. It folds completely flat, is quick-drying, has a zipper, and has two pockets.

It costs £4.79 with 20% off and you can find it here.

Secondly, magnetic hooks are a great way to get extra hanging space. These ones have 27% off and come in at £8.79 for 6 and hold up to 80lb each.

Charging

A multi country USB adaptor is an essential for me when I travel. I have two types, a cheaper lower powered one for everyday appliances and then a higher capacity one for my laptop.

For a basic one that covers USB A and C, this one has 24% off bringing it down to £16.99.

If you want something higher-powered, I have just traded up to this 65W one for the extra USB-C ports, as I’m finding that only having one on my current one is beginning to be limiting. It has two USB C and one A socket. You simply swap the actual plug head over, and you can obviously just take the ones that you need. It comes with UK, Europe, and US adaptors.

It is currently reduced by 29%  to £31.99. You can find it here.

Eye masks and earphones/headphones

If you like to listen to something while you are sleeping or block out noise, it can be cumbersome to have both earbuds and a sleep mask, plus, earbuds can be uncomfortable if you sleep on your side. There is now a new breed of eyemasks that combine earphones with a full sleep mask.

This brand has good reviews and has some great features such as zero eye pressure, silky cool feeling fabric, perforated materials for airflow & ventilation and a 14 hour battery life.

There are two different designs, I prefer the one pictured as it doesn’t come down over the nose. There are also several other colours. You can find the full range here on Amazon.

If you just want a standard eye mask I recommend those with the cup shape around the eyes for no eye pressure. The INNELO Sleep Mask is a 3D contoured breathable sleeping mask with no pressure thanks to a heightened hollow nose bridge so that no light can leak in and moulded cups for the eyes.

The mask has 15% off and is priced at £8.49. You can find it on Amazon here.

If you are after noise-cancelling headphones, these Sony WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling wireless headphones have 30 hours of battery life and are optimized for Alexa and Google Assistant – with a built-in mic for phone calls. They have 49% off all three colors and now costs £179.99

You can find them on Amazon here.

Checking out the new No 1 lounge at @heathrow_airp Checking out the new No 1 lounge at @heathrow_airport T2. Very impressed with the elegant feel to the lounge. It’s definitely a step up from the older style of No1. I’d go as far to say that it looks better than quite a few airline lounges. All drinks are included apart from champagne and there was a good selection of tasty food as well. Full review coming soon. #airportlounge #heathrowairport #luxurytravel #no1lounge
