Etihad Partners with Revolut: Convert RevPoints into Etihad Guest Miles
Etihad has just announced a new partnership with Revolut as a new way to earn Etihad Guest Miles. Points can be transferred at a ratio of 1:1.
You can already transfer points from Revolut to 30+ airline loyalty programmes, including Flying Blue, BA, Qatar Privilege Club, Finnair Plus and Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles.
The number of points you earn depends on your membership tier:
Transferring RevPoints to Etihad is easy via the Revolut app. There is no minimum transfer amount, which is ideal for small balances, especially if you have one of the lower membership levels with Revolut.
Once miles are in your Etihad Guest account, you can redeem them for flights to over 100 destinations (with 27 in the pipeline), upgrades, hotel stays, holidays and items from the Etihad Guest Reward shop. There are plenty of great flight redemption options with Etihad, including with partners (e.g. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and AAdvantage).
To convert your RevPoints to Etihad Guest Miles:
- Go to ‘RevPoints’ on the bottom menu of the Revolut app
- Choose Etihad Guest and link your account
- Choose an amount of points and tap ‘Transfer’
Christopher Guttridge, General Manager (Loyalty) at Revolut, said:
“Since we launched RevPoints last year, we have seen that Airline Miles have been the most popular way for our customers to redeem their points. Which is why we are honoured to partner with Etihad Guest to help us unlock more flight destinations for RevPoints customers and offer more ways to enjoy points earned on everyday spending. Customers can use their RevPoints to book flights and get seat upgrades across Etihad’s expanding global network. Our partnership with Etihad also strengthens our Travel product suite, which extends beyond Airline Miles and includes eSIM, Lounges, Stays and Experiences.”
Revolut is particularly useful for transferring money in foreign currencies and withdrawing cash abroad. If you’re looking for a card that can earn you airline miles based on your spending, Revolut is an excellent alternative to a credit card. The top-tier ‘Revolut Ultra’ also offers unlimited Priority Pass lounge access. You can read more about this in our Lounge Access with Credit Cards and Bank Accounts article.

Qatar Airways Launches a New Award Finder Tool
Qatar Airways has rolled out a new Award Finder feature, aiming to make it easier to locate reward flight availability. The new award calendar will display availability on a monthly basis in all classes. You can also check availability for multiple people and connecting flights.
The feature has been introduced based on feedback from people wanting an easier way to book an award flight up to a year in advance.
To find this feature, go to the ‘Award Finder’ page, choose your destination, number of passengers, cabin class and browse seat availability across your preferred dates.
However, there are still plenty of errors with the calendar, but hopefully, these will be fixed soon.
For example, when searching for a flight from LHR to Qatar, the Economy pricing is clearly shown. The dates in black are also unavailable, despite being shown. When clicking on available dates, there are often errors. Quite often, Economy pricing is also not shown.
The Business pricing shows when there is availability, but not the cost:
It’s also not possible to distinguish between Standard rates and Flexi fares. This is down to guesswork!
There are also some glitches, such as being logged out without notice. Sometimes, logging in is not possible for a time after this.
Once this feature is working correctly, it’s a great addition to the site! A monthly view is a much-needed tool.

Marriott Has Acquired citizenM – But it’s Not Part of Marriott Bonvoy Just Yet
Marriott has officially completed its acquisition of citizenM, adding the innovative Dutch lifestyle brand to its growing portfolio. Since launching in 2008, citizenM has carved out a niche for itself with style-forward stays aimed at the value-savvy traveller

citizenM will likely fit nicely alongside AC Hotels, Aloft and Moxy in the Select-Distinctive portfolio. The move is part of Marriott’s goal to expand the select-service portfolio.
While citizenM properties are not yet integrated into the Marriott Bonvoy programme, full integration is expected later in 2025. Until then, you won’t be able to earn or redeem Bonvoy points or elite night credits at citizenM, and bookings should still be made via the citizenM site
Currently, citizenM operates 37 hotels across more than 20 cities in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific, with a total of 8,789 rooms. Another two hotels are in the pipeline. The 5 UK locations include Tower of London, London Southwark Bankside, Shoreditch, Victoria Station and Glasgow.

If you currently have a cMyCitizenM subscription, you can continue to use the benefits. More details will be provided on how this will work once citizenM is integrated with Marriott.
You can expect compact but cleverly designed rooms, lively rooftop bars, communal living spaces, creative meeting areas, and grab-and-go food service. The brand is seen as a fast-growing favourite among younger, experience-focused travellers.

Anthony Capuano, President and CEO of Marriott International, said:
“As travellers continue to seek innovative lodging offerings that blend technology with genuine, people-first hospitality, the citizenM brand is the perfect addition to our portfolio. Marriott has proven success in growing select-service lifestyle offerings, including our AC, Moxy, and Aloft brands, and we look forward to accelerating citizenM’s global reach with our guests and Marriott Bonvoy members around the world.”
