British Airways Becomes the First Founding Partner of Olympia London
BA has announced it will be the first Founding Partner of the new Olympia London, taking naming rights for two major venues: the British Airways ARC and the British Airways Theatre.
Olympia will reopen in early 2026 after a £1.3 billion redevelopment with its heritage halls joined by two new hotels, 30 restaurants and bars, office spaces, and large public areas.
The British Airways ARC will arrive first in 2026 – a purpose-built 3,800-capacity music and entertainment venue operated by AEG Presents UK. The 1,575-seat British Airways Theatre will follow in 2027, set to become the largest purpose-built theatre to open in London in almost 50 years.
This partnership will give benefits to BA status holders:
- Every ARC show will include a reserved allocation of tickets available via a dedicated portal, giving early access to high-demand events.
- Eligible ticketholders will be able to use the British Airways Wing – a VIP lounge with a cocktail bar and, for specific performances, a private balcony overlooking the stage.
- Members will be able to collect Avios on food and drink purchases across selected Olympia venues, including new Incipio Group openings.
The exact BA tier needed to receive these benefits has not been confirmed.
BA will also support the next generation of UK talent by partnering with The BRIT School, funding nearly 60 student places each year, and contributing to the refurbishment of The BRIT Theatre.

Major Upgrades to the Etihad Guest Loyalty Programme Announced
Etihad Guest has announced one of its best loyalty programme improvements in years! Members can now redeem miles on every seat, in every cabin, on every Etihad flight with new flexibility options. The main change here is flexibility. Award bookings now come with selectable fare attributes such as fully refundable rewards. This brings more transparency and makes planning during peak periods easier.
The long-standing GuestSeat has been rebranded as the Saver Award, offering clearer value and keeping the popular fixed-rate structure. Saver Awards now extend across more than 26 partner airlines, with Hong Kong Airlines set to join soon. They remain exclusive to Etihad Guest members.
In a notable move, Etihad will now award Tier Miles on redemption bookings for Comfort and Deluxe fares, earning 25% to 50% Tier Miles across all cabins, making status progression easier.
Business Comfort and Business Deluxe redemptions now include Etihad Chauffeur anywhere within the UAE, regardless of tier status (Etihad-operated flights only).
The changes align award bookings much more closely with cash fare benefits. Fixed-rate Saver Awards were already a great value, but the added flexibility and ability to earn Tier Miles on certain awards make Etihad Guest a standout.
