Three New British Airways AMEX Sign-Up Offers

Until 24th February 2026, Amex is offering boosted sign-up bonuses across the BA Amex, Premium Plus, and Accelerating Business cards, with up to 50,000 Avios available.
You won’t find these offers when going straight to the AMEX site. You’ll need to go via the BA site.
Premium Plus
Cost: £300 / Year
You’ll now receive 50,000 bonus Avios upon spending £6,000 in the first 3 months, compared to the usual bonus of 30,000.
The card comes with 1.5 Avios per £1 spent / 3 Avios per £1 spent via BA or BA Holidays. Spend £15,000 on a card in a year, and you’ll also earn the Companion Voucher, which can be used in all cabins, including Club World and First.
If you can meet the spend requirement, this is a great offer to start 2026! This is the most popular BA card among readers, and we regularly see great AMEX offers on it.
You must not have held a BA AMEX in the last 24 months to be eligible for the bonus.
Amex Credit Card
Cost: Free
If you don’t want a paid credit card or don’t think you’ll meet the £6,000 requirement of the bonus on the Premium Plus card, the BA Amex is still a good option. You’ll receive 10,000 Avios when you spend £2,000 in the first 3 months (usually 5,000).
The card earns 1 Avios per £1 and a companion voucher upon spending £15,000, which can only be used in Economy.
You must not have had a personal AMEX card in the last 24 months to be eligible for the bonus.
Accelerating Business
Cost: £250 per year
If you own a Business, this card is a great Avios earner. Spend £5,000 in the first three months, and you’ll earn 40,000 Avios (compared to 30,000 without the bonus).
Ongoing earn is 1.5 Avios per £1, with an extra 10,000 Avios for every £20,000 spent (up to three times per year) and double On Business Points with BA.
The bonus isn’t available if you’ve held an Amex Business card in the last 12 months.
We probably shouldn’t be too surprised if we see more offers like this over the next year. Loyalty towards British Airways has definitely softened, and a lot of people are now much less committed to BA than they used to be. One of the easiest ways for Amex (and BA) to keep cards appealing is by dangling bigger sign-up bonuses, so this may not be the last boosted deal we see.
Even so, the Companion Voucher is still the big hook with these cards. Use it well and it can deliver some genuinely huge value, particularly on long-haul premium cabin flights. For plenty of cardholders, it’s still more than enough reason to keep the card, despite everything else that’s changed.
Wizz Air Launches a ‘Business Class’ Product

More and more low-cost airlines are experimenting with more premium products recently, and the latest product is Wizz Air’s new Wizz Class, which includes:
- A blocked middle seat
- Complimentary snack and non-alcoholic drink
- Dedicated overhead compartment space
- Seating in the front row (you will also need to pay the seat selection fee)
For launch, seats are limited to selected routes to and from Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Luton, Gatwick, and Rome Fiumicino. If you want to book, it’s not easy. First, you have to select Wizz Smart or Wizz Plus, which already come with a range of benefits, including a 10kg cabin bag and priority check-in and boarding. Then you’ll have to add all the usual details before you can see whether Wizz Class is available.
What ‘Wizz Class’ does not include is lounge access and fast-track security. Wizz Air also doesn’t have a loyalty programme, and you won’t earn miles or rewards. There’s also no lounge access, but if you have a lounge pass, you can use it instead.
Wizz says the move is driven by growing business travel demand and passenger feedback. Fares start at £43, and pricing is dynamic. The new service will begin on a set number of routes, and tickets are already on sale.
This is certainly not comparable to European Business Class, such as Club Europe, but it’s a nice option to have if you’re flying with Wizz Air, especially if you’re on a route not served by your usual airline.
IHG: 100% Bonus Buy Points Offer

A 100% bonus is IHG’s best offer when buying points (even though it does come around fairly often). If you were already considering a purchase, this is the window to run the numbers. The sale is live until 5th February 2026, and in the right circumstances, buying points can be cheaper.
The bonus starts with purchases of 5,000 points or more. The more points you buy, the less you’ll pay per point:
| Number of Points Purchased | Cost per 1,000 Points |
|---|---|
| 5,000-10,000 | $6.75 (£5.04) |
| 11,000-25,000 | $5.75 (£5.39) |
| 26,000-200,000 | $5.00 (£4.83) |
You can purchase up to 200,000 points per calendar year (this may be higher if you’re targeted). With the 100% bonus, you receive 400,000 points if you buy the full amount.
The offer is only really worth it if you purchase 26,000+ points and check before you buy whether the points rate is better than the cash rate.
Looking at lots of examples of booking with cash vs points, the higher rates often save vs paying in cash. This isn’t often by a huge margin, but it’s still worth buying the points. Usually, this offer would save you more, but IHG is also running a sale until 21st January, which applies to cash rates.
