50% Bonus When You Convert Accor Points to Club Eurostar Points: Worth It?
If you have a Eurostar trip planned and aren’t using your Accor points for hotel stays, this deal is well worth considering.
From 18th September to 18th October 2025, you will receive a 50% bonus when you convert Accor points into Eurostar points. That’s 450 Club Eurostar Points for every 2,000 Accor Points you convert, compared to the usual rate of 2,000 Accor Points = 300 Eurostar Points.
Eurostar Redemption Costs
Eurostar redemptions are available until the train is full, but there are a limited number of value fares:
Fare Type |
Eurostar Standard | Eurostar Plus |
Eurostar Premier |
---|---|---|---|
One-way Value fare |
1,000 points | 2,000 points |
N/A |
One-way Anytime fare | 1,500 points | 2,500 points |
3,000 points |
You can also upgrade your Eurostar ticket with points. A Eurostar Standard to Eurostar Plus upgrade is just 600 points one-way.
Worth It?
Accor Points are worth a fixed amount of €0.02 if spent on stays. 2,000 points translates to a €40 discount off your stay.
A one-way Standard Value ticket (1,000 points) would cost just 4,500 Accor points during the offer. The same points, if kept in your Accor account, would equal €90 off your stay. In peak periods or for last-minute bookings, this can be excellent value. In this case, a ticket over €90 (£77.90) would make it worthwhile to pay with points.
Without a bonus, the Eurostar cash ticket would need to cost over €133 (£115.10) to make it worthwhile to transfer the points for a standard value redemption.
However, you must have at least 2,000 Accor points to transfer, and your bonus could take up to 6 weeks to arrive in your account. If you plan to book soon, keep this in mind, although most people report receiving the bonus much faster than this.
Accor seems to be running this deal relatively regularly; the last time it was announced was in May.

End of an Era: Jersey Airport Executive Lounge to Close
Jersey Airport’s long-running Executive Lounge will close next month. This comes after the new No1 Lounge opened upstairs on 18th July.
British Airways gave 60 days’ notice to withdraw its contract and move passengers to the new No1 Lounge. The decision ends a nearly 30-year relationship between BA and local operator Airline Services Channel Islands Ltd, which had run the Executive Lounge since 1996.
Talks had previously been underway for BA to have exclusive use of the lounge under a rebrand and refurbishment, but the deal has collapsed, the lounge is no longer financially viable, and it’s now closing. As a result, the 18 staff will lose their jobs.
The New No 1 Lounge
Since opening, the new lounge has received some excellent reviews and includes:
- Buffet-style dining with seasonal menus and premium snacks
- Multiple seating areas, from casual seating to a library area and the bar lounge
- Private meeting rooms and spaces
- Free fast Wi-Fi and plenty of charging points
- Dedicated toilets
The lounge is open from 5:30 to 20:00 and operates on a pay-per-entry basis, starting at £28 (1.5 and 3 hour stays). Entry is available with a lounge pass (Priority Pass, DragonPass, and more) or through airline partnerships.
If you’re entering with a lounge pass, you’ll need to pay a fee of £6 to reserve a space or turn up on the day and hope for the best. However, AMEX Platinum is currently trialling lounge booking credits. You should have 4 for 2025 and 8 for 2026 onwards.
It’s a shame to see the old lounge go, and it would have been good to have a choice of both of them, and potentially leave No 1 lounge less crowded, especially now that it’s BA’s partner lounge. I’m sure many will miss the familiarity of the Executive Lounge.
The ‘AMEX Stays’ Offer Has Returned: Spend £300 at Selected Hotels – Get £75 Back
The popular ‘AMEX Stays’ offer is back. Here’s how it works: Spend £300 online or at selected hotels in one transaction by 16th November and you will receive £75 back in statement credit up to once per card.
It’s not enough to book before the deadline. If you’re on a pay-on-departure rate, you’ll miss out! Make sure you choose a prepaid rate.
If your stay is hovering around the £300 threshold, keep in mind that only eligible spend counts – that means the room cost itself, not extras like spa treatments or FX fees. You should also be aware that payments made through certain payment facilitators may not be eligible.
You need to register the offer on your card. To do this, go to the AMEX offer section of the app or website and save the offer named ‘AMEX Stays’ to your card.
The offer covers most AMEX cards, but a minority will be ineligible (e.g. I imagine the Marriott cards won’t be eligible).
The statement credit should appear on your card within 30 days, but AMEX does acknowledge it could take longer.
