British Airways – kids fly free
Unfortunately, the offer is not quite as exciting as it sounds due to the limited destinations. However, if you are planning on going to one of them anyway, you may as well make use of the offer. BA is offering free flights for children under 12 who travel with a full paying adult on journeys between Heathrow and Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Inverness, Belfast and the home of LEGO; Billund in Denmark.
The offer means that up to two children can fly for free when travelling with an adult, even during the school holidays. It can be used on Euro Traveller tickets booked from May 10 to October 1 for travel from June 1 until October 31, 2017. You can find out more at ba.com/kids-fly-free. The offer is valid on one-way and return tickets.
There are also a few other deals if you are travelling with your family through Heathrow. The offers include free kids’ travel on the Heathrow Express between Heathrow and Paddington and kids eat free deals at Huxley’s and Giraffe for British Airways customers, at Heathrow T 5.
Hilton Hotels – kids eat and stay free
There is also a kids stay and eat free offer at selected Hilton Hotels which you can find here. The offer is for participating hotels in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Stays for up to two children aged 18 years and younger are complimentary when sharing a room with an adult. A second room for children aged 18 or younger is charged at 50% of the rate of the first room.
All children aged 10 years or younger are entitled to complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner in at least one hotel operated restaurant, as designated by the hotel, when accompanied by paying adults currently staying in the hotel. Children are able to choose from the Children’s menu or will be served children’s portions; this also includes non-alcoholic beverages during the meal.
The list of participating hotels is here.
No 1 Lounges for only £22.50
There is a good offer for No 1 on their lounges at Heathrow T3, Gatwick, Birmingham and Edinburgh. They are currently offering access for just £22.50. You can get this price by buying a gift voucher.
Having used the No 1 lounges at Gatwick and Heathrow, apart from being overcrowded during BA’s occupancy, they are generally of a high standard. They don’t have free champagne, but they do have food to order and a reasonable drinks selection. Another advantage is that you get premium security access as well, except at Heathrow. It could be a nice treat for someone as a present too. You must buy the voucher by 18 May but they are valid for travel until 31 August 2017. You can find the page here.
