Check if you qualify for the Lufthansa 100k challenge
Lufthansa has decided to blatantly copy the very successful SAS Eurobonus challenge (you can read our interviews with the participants here). Lufthansa’s own version only gives a maximum of 100,000 points, but for those living in Europe, it should be easier to achieve.
The catch is that the offer appears to be targeted, so you will need to check in the app to see if you qualify for the offer. Make sure you have updated to the latest version before you check.
The challenge is very similar to Eurobonus in that there are different levels of bonus depending on how many airlines within the LH group you fly with. The bonuses are cumulative making a total of 100,000 miles.
- 5000 bonus miles for flying with 3 airlines
- 35,000 bonus miles for flying with 5 airlines
- 60,000 miles bonus for flying with 7 airlines.
The challenge must be completed between now and 31 July 2025.
Here are the LH group airlines:
Lufthansa Airlines, Lufthansa City, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Discover Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Eurowings.
The good news is that if you fancy spending a couple of weekends flying around Europe, you should be able to complete the challenge in a fairly short amount of time and on a low budget. Each leg (segment) counts as a single flight, which means that you could complete the challenge in seven short economy flights.
