easyJet Plus for £122 for British Airways Status Holders – Is it Worth It?

easyjet plane

It’s not just premium airlines offering status matches and deals targeting BA customers! easyJet has launched a new promotion, aptly named ‘No More Tiers’, offering British Airways Bronze members and above a 12-month membership for £122, down from £249.

I rarely fly easyJet but when I do, it’s always a pleasurable experience. When I book Speedy Boarding, the ground agents control this like I’m a VIP. I cannot say the same for some premium airlines.

Being an easyJet Plus membership holder comes with a range of benefits, including:

  • A large cabin bag on all flights of a maximum of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Without the membership, this would be an additional cost, and you would only be able to bring an underseat cabin bag of 45cm x 36cm x 20cm.
  • Speedy boarding
  • Fast bag drop at selected airports
  • Free Seat selection, including premium seats
  • Fast track security
  • A 10% discount on food and drinks purchased onboard
  • Earlier return flight flexibility. Swap to an earlier return flight once you’re at your destination, subject to availability.

easyJet has seen a huge boost in Plus membership holders, with a 51% increase in January 2025 alone.

This deal is best for business travellers, solo flyers, and couples with easyJet Plus membership. However, the benefits only apply to the Plus membership holder. For families and groups, additional baggage fees and seat selection costs for the rest of the party can add up.

Also, perks like speedy boarding are less useful if you have to wait for others in your group. If you’re unsure, you can use the easyJet Plus calculator to work out how much you could save.

This is an interesting offer, considering the extra costs that can easily add up with easyJet (especially baggage).

How to Take Up the Offer

  1. Email easyJet at [email protected] by midnight on 12th March with the subject line ‘No More Tiers’ for a promotional code.
  2. Provide proof of your British Airways status. This can be a screenshot or photograph of your active membership card showing your full first and last name.
  3. Provide ID. This can be a passport or driver’s licence bearing the same full name as the proof of your BA Executive membership.
  4. Apply for easyJet Plus with your promotional code by 31st March.

If you’re not a British Airways status holder, you can use the code PLUS15 to get 15% off until 31st March.

Will you be going for it? Let us know in the comments below.

Norse Atlantic Launches Direct Flights from Gatwick to Bangkok

Norse Atlantic has just announced a new direct flight route from London Gatwick to Bangkok. The new service will launch on 26th October 2025, and tickets are already available for purchase.

Flights start at just £295, including taxes and fees. The new route offers a much-needed, budget-friendly, direct route to Bangkok. The only direct services currently in operation are the long-standing services operated by British Airways, Thai Airways, and EVA Air from Heathrow.

In the past, finding a low-cost flight to Asia usually meant dealing with stopovers, most commonly in the Middle East, Turkey, or China. I’ve occasionally found great-value fares with Malaysia Airlines, but that requires a stop in Kuala Lumpur. Until now, one of the cheapest options has been to fly to Athens and connect onto a  Scoot flight to Singapore.

Flight Schedule

Tuesdays and Sundays from 26th October to 30th November 2025:

  • ZO791 departs Gatwick at 16:00 and arrives in Bangkok at 10:25 (+1)
  • ZO792 departs Bangkok at 12:30  and arrives in Gatwick at 18:30

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays from 2nd December – 27th March 2026:

  • ZO791 departs Gatwick at 16:00 and arrives in Bangkok at 10:25 (+1)
  • ZO792 departs Bangkok at 12:30 and arrives in Gatwick at 18:30

Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO of Norse Atlantic Airways, said:

“This addition not only strengthens our existing network between Asia but also builds on our routes from London Gatwick to destinations across the Atlantic and South Africa. For us it’s all about offering more travel options at great prices without compromising on comfort and service for those looking to enjoy a beautiful and warm winter sunshine destination.”

Norse Atlantic operates a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on all its long-haul routes, with a two-class cabin. Looking at the costs this winter, there are some great deals.

A Norse Atlantic Premium Seat

In Economy, you have three fare choices. Here’s an example for 2nd February 2026:

For the same flight, Premium cabin fares start at £608:

Norse Atlantic will also increase its direct flights to Bangkok from Stockholm Arlanda (2 to 4 weekly from 5th December) and from Oslo (3 to 4 weekly from 3rd December). However, the Gatwick to Miami route will be cancelled from 25th October.

Lufthansa Miles & More to Move to Dynamic Pricing + Status Match News

From 3rd June 2025, Lufthansa’s Miles & More programme will shift to a revenue-based model for flights with Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and Lufthansa City. Instead of a fixed award chart, the number of miles required for a reward seat will now be directly linked to the cash price of a ticket. A common theme recently eh?

Lufthansa is marketing the change as ‘exciting‘ due to the greater choice of fares and flexibility in mileage amounts. However, this is a major devaluation, particularly if you value changeable and refundable redemption flights. Elite members will also no longer receive free seat selection or checked baggage on the cheapest redemption fares.

Here’s what’s changing:

  • Award seats will be dynamically priced. The number of miles needed will fluctuate with cash fares.
  • Four redemption fare types will be available for long-haul routes: Light, Basic, Basic Plus, and Flex. Each fare offers varying levels of baggage, seat selection, and flexibility.
  • There will be three fares for intra-Europe routes: Light, Classic, and Flex.
  • Taxes and fees still need to be paid separately, and you can no longer cover them with miles.
  • Elite benefits such as free seat selection and checked baggage will no longer be automatically included but will depend on the fare type booked.
  • The miles needed for premium cabin redemptions will increase for long-haul business and first-class flights.
  • Some economy routes will have lower redemption rates (exceptions apply).
  • A fixed award chart for partner redemptions remains in place, but it has been updated. You can view it here. Lufthansa has increased the mileage cost for many long-haul Star Alliance routes.
  • There will still be a restricted number of seats you can book with miles.

This change reduces the value of Miles & More miles, particularly for premium cabin redemptions. If you’ve been saving miles for a long-haul Business or First-Class flight, I advise you to book before 3rd June 2025 to make the most of the current pricing and flexibility before the changes take effect.

You can read more about the so-called ‘exciting’ changes here >>>

In addition to this news, Lufthansa has just announced a status match for British Airways and Iberia members. We will cover this in much more detail tomorrow! For a €99 (£82.06) fee, you can match:

Iberia Plata Frequent Traveller

I will not be matching with easyJet as they have just cut 25,000 seats/flights to the Isle of Man where I live. I am a frequent traveller and have found them to be unreliable anyway. Often cancelling the last flight from London, leaving people stranded for the night.

I am afraid it’s an awful ( definitely not “exciting” ) change for M&M passengers. It looks you will need for first class ticket more than million miles – with recent changes earning miles became far more difficult and I guess even corporate passengers will struggle to collect enough miles. And if your status/elite benefits are irrelevant – it makes M&M program pointless, to be honest.

Checking out the new No 1 lounge at @heathrow_airp Checking out the new No 1 lounge at @heathrow_airport T2. Very impressed with the elegant feel to the lounge. It’s definitely a step up from the older style of No1. I’d go as far to say that it looks better than quite a few airline lounges. All drinks are included apart from champagne and there was a good selection of tasty food as well. Full review coming soon. #airportlounge #heathrowairport #luxurytravel #no1lounge
