British Airways and British Airways Holidays have launched their latest sale ‘The Original Sale’, offering holiday and flight savings for travel in 2024 and 2025.
The sale is on until 14 May 2024 with both flight-only deals and holidays. The prices are pretty standard for a BA sale at the moment. Prices are still extremely high across most airlines thanks to a lack of capacity due to delays in aircraft delivery and high demand. I think it will be at least another 18 months before we see any substantial lowering of fares.
If you are flying to the US, you may want to consider the six-month advance purchase fares from Dublin, which can be substantially cheaper than the sale fares. For example, the cheapest fare to Los Angeles in the sale is £2274. I recently purchased a Club fare from Dublin on BA via Heathrow to LA including one night in the Hilton Dublin Airport for £1755.

BA Holidays sale
The BA Double Tier point offer is still available for flights of 5 nights or more, but make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully, as there are quite a few restrictions. Holidays can often work out cheaper than flights only, and the big advantage is that you don’t have to pay for it until nearer the time. I often add one night’s hotel so that I can just pay a small deposit rather than the whole cost up front.
