Air France/Sofitel partnership
Air France has been heavily investing in its premium cabins recently with the introduction of a new ultra luxury La Premiere Suite, which followed on from its new Business class suite, which you can read about here. Now, the customer experience is being further improved with new mattress toppers in conjunction with Sofitel hotels. Mattress toppers in business class can be very hit-and-miss. For example, the lovely thick padded ones on Virgin, which have an elasticised flap to Anchor them, are perfect, whereas BA really shouldn’t bother with the small flimsy piece of material they call a toppere since it does nothing and just gets tucked up. If you are sensitive to hard seats, the mattress topper can make a huge difference to your sleep quality on an aircraft.
Air France continues to upgrade its long-haul Business Class cabin offerings. The airline has announced a partnership with Sofitel, the Accor Group’s luxury hospitality brand, to introduce a new mattress topper on each of its seats. Its rollout will be gradual across all of the airline’s long-haul flights starting in July 2025. By the end of the year, it will be available on all of the company’s long-haul flights.
Placed on each seat before boarding alongside a cushion, blanket, and slippers, the mattress topper features a gray shade, one of the signature colors of the Business cabin. The topper has a hood to anchor it on the seat headrest and is designed to be used when seated or lying down to provide extra comfort. It has been carefully designed with notches to fit all Business seats and their seat belts, regardless of the aircraft type (Boeing 777, 787, Airbus A330, A350).
Eurostar from £35 one way plus 10% Uber credit
Eurostar are running a flash sale until the end of Thursday, 3 April, for travel between 23 April and 9 July 2025. You can get tickets for as little as £35 for Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam or Lille.
You may want to consider booking through the Uber app if you are an Avios collector or Uber user. Uber is currently offering 10% back in Uber credit for train and coach travel plus you can earn Avios on your purchases, too. These credit almost immediately so are a great way to get a small amount of Avios quickly. Uber credits can be spent on trains, rides or Uber eats.
