Loganair has launched a limited-time Double Avios promotion for members of its Avios-based rewards programme, Loganair Loyalty.
If you book before midnight on Tuesday 19 August 2025, youโll earn twice the usual Avios on eligible flights.
How many Avios will you earn?
Loganair awards Avios based on your ticket type, with all routes earning the same fixed amount:

This promotion comes during a year of expansion for Loganair, including a new operational base at Southampton Airport to strengthen connectivity across the UK.

Marriott Bonvoy Escapes – Save 20% on Stays Worldwide
Marriott has launched its latest Escapes sale, offering 20% off stays for Bonvoy members between 18 August and 7 September 2025. The offer is valid across select properties in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, but youโll need to be quick, as bookings must be made by Sunday.
Non-members still receive a discount, but itโs capped at 15%, so itโs worth joining Marriott Bonvoy (free to join) before booking. Occasionally, select members receive special booking links by email with up to 25% off, so itโs worth checking your inbox if youโre a regular Marriott guest.

Gatwick Baggage Screener Strikes Suspended
Planned strike action by baggage screeners at London Gatwick Airport has been suspended after workers received an improved pay offer from their employer, ICTS.
The walkout, that we covered just yesterday, which had been scheduled to run from 22โ26 August, will no longer go ahead while members of the Unite union are balloted on the proposal over the coming days.
The dispute involves some of Gatwickโs lowest-paid airport workers, who are employed by ICTS to screen baggage before it is loaded onto aircraft. Unite had previously warned that the strikes could cause โsevere delaysโ to flights over the busy bank holiday weekend.
While this first strike period has been paused, a second round of industrial action from 29 August to 2 September is still planned if the new pay offer is rejected.
Gatwick Airport has maintained that it expects to run a normal summer schedule, saying it is โworking with our suppliers to avoid any impactsโ and hopes the dispute can be resolved before further strike dates.
