Good Double Avios AND Tier point offer
Finnair has just announced a new offer for Finnair Plus members with the opportunity to collect double Avios and tier points on all new Finnair flight bookings, over the next 10 days. If you have been considering defecting from BA to another Oneworld loyalty scheme, now could be the time. Customers booking between 19 August to 28 August 2025 will receive double Avios and tier points, on all flights through until 23 August 2026. The drawback is that the offer only covers Finnair-marketed and Finnair or Norra-operated flights. The bonus works across all ticket types (Superlight, Light, Classic, and Flex) in all travel classes (Economy, Premium Economy, Business Class), including travel extras bought in conjunction with these flights. The offer does not apply to holiday packages that are organised by a third party, even if the flight was operated by Finnair and the ticket had an AY code.
To get the double-tier points, you should ensure that your Finnair Plus membership number is added to their booking so they can see the estimated Avios earned when comparing ticket options.
100% IHG Buy bonus
IHG has yet another 100% buy bonus. The offer is valid for purchases until 28 August 2025.
IHG has also increased the yearly buy limit, allowing you to purchase up to 300,000 points, which totals 600,000 points once the bonus is applied. If you purchase the full amount, the cost will be $ 3,000. There is a minimum 5,000 points purchase to get the bonus.
In recent years, buying points has become a way to save money on expensive hotels, so if you are considering booking an IHG hotel, it is always worth comparing cash to buying points. The other perk to consider with points is that they are often better than booking cash in terms of cancellation. However, if you do decide to purchase points to book, make sure you book immediately afterwards, as otherwise availability could vanish.

Delta adds faster US connections 
I recently wrote about American Airlines introducing simpler connections from Heathrow via Dallas. Now there is another option with Delta via Atlanta.
Customers connecting in Atlanta from Seoul and Heathrow no longer need to reclaim and recheck bags before proceeding to their gate, saving up to 25 minutes. Customers on select flights connecting in ATL from LHR who use Global Entry or the Mobile Passport App can also skip security checks and proceed to their gate, saving 45 minutes. This will be rolled out to all LHR to ATL flights in the coming weeks. To qualify, you must be enrolled in Global Entry or use the Mobile Passport Control app (returning UK ESTA holders can use MPC).
Since February, all eastbound customers from ATL connecting through LHR have benefitted from this streamlined experience. Delta will then expand this innovation to additional international routes in the future.
What is MPC?
The Mobile Passport Control (MPC) app can save you time entering the U.S., letting you submit your passport information ahead of time for expedited processing upon arrival. Itโs available at 23 airports Delta serves and is free to use. Many airports have a dedicated line for MPC which is almost as quick as Global Entry. You can download the appโฏhere.
