Bonus Virgin Points When You Exchange Tesco Clubcard Points
Virgin Red members can now get 30% more Virgin Points when manually converting Tesco Clubcard vouchers until 30th June 2026.
If you have unused vouchers, this is a great opportunity to get good value from them.
£4 in Clubcard vouchers will convert into 1,040 Virgin Points (up from 800). Clubcard points are already worth double when converted into Virgin Points, and the 30% bonus is a nice little extra, especially if you have a healthy balance of Clubcard points.
Once in your Virgin Red account, if your Virgin Atlantic Flying Club account is linked, you can view a combined balance across both accounts and opt to spend points on redemption flights, cabin upgrades, Virgin Voyages cruises, hotel stays and more.
You must have at least £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers to exchange points, and you can do multiple exchanges before 30th June.
Points will be credited within 28 days, which is worth keeping in mind if you want to book soon, but points are usually in your account much faster.
If you have auto-conversion enabled, you’ll need to turn it off to take part in this offer.
To exchange points, you’ll need to:
- Go to ‘Clubcard Management’ on the Tesco app
- Select Virgin Points in the Voucher Schemes section (you can also turn off auto-convert here)
- Add your Virgin Red ID
This is particularly good if you prefer to manually exchange Clubcard Points rather than set up an auto-exchange.

American Express Adds Accor Points to Conversion Options

AMEX has now added Accor to the list of options for converting Membership Rewards Points (MR Points).
ALL Accor is the loyalty Programme of brands under the Accor umbrella, including the likes of Fairmont, Rixos and Raffles, as well as well-known brands including ibis, Novotel and Mercure.
300 Membership Rewards Points can now be converted into 100 ALL Accor Reward Points. Transfers take up to 24 hours.
Accor points have a variety of uses, including things like Limitless Experiences, but the main use is discounts on your next stay. If used this way, points have a fixed value of €0.02, so 2,000 Points will give you €40 off your stay:
- 3,000 MR Points – 1,000 Accor Points – €20 off your stay
- 60,000 MR Points – 20,000 Accor Points – €400 off your stay
The fixed value means you won’t get outsized value from converting to Accor, compared with transferring to many other hotel programmes with variable reward pricing (e.g. Marriott) with better value per point, or airline loyalty programmes where you can find Business or First-class redemption seats.
It’s always good to have another option to transfer from AMEX, particularly a hotel group with such a large selection of brands.
