You might be gearing up for your summer getaway, but don’t forget winter 2026. Who doesn’t love a sunshine break from the dreary UK weather? Well, according to Reward Flight Finder, here’s what’s looking like a good Avios reward seat booking in the bleaker months:

Short Haul

London Gatwick – Agadir, with British Airways

There’s some really strong reward seat availability in Economy and Business Class availability from November 2026 onwards, with lots of days having 4 seats in each cabin to book.

London City and Heathrow – Barcelona, with British Airways

There’s packed availability from November 2026, right through to spring 2027. Most days have 6 seats in both Economy and Business Class to snap up with your Avios.

London Heathrow – Cairo, with British Airways

You’ll find some lovely Economy and Business Class availability from October 2026, through to March 2027, with lots of days having 6 seats in Economy and 2 seats in the premium cabin.

London City, Gatwick and Heathrow – Faro, with British Airways

Surprisingly, given how popular Portugal is for a winter escape, from October 2026 through to March 2027 you’ll find a lot of availability of seats to book with Avios. Both cabins have lots of days with 6 seats to book.

London City, Gatwick, and Heathrow – Madrid, with Iberia

Availability is plentiful between October 2026 and March 2027, with loads of days having 6 Economy and 6 Business Class seats to book.

London Heathrow – Naples, with British Airways

Availability is plentiful across December 2026 to April 2027, with lots of days with 4 seats in Economy and 2 in Business Class.

Long Haul

London Gatwick – Cancun, with British Airways

There are spots of Premium Economy and Business Class seats in October and November 2026, and February and March 2027. You’ll see a few dates with 4 seats in each cabin.

London Heathrow – Johannesburg, British Airways

Another nice surprise for collectors. If you hurry, you’ll see a nice range of Premium Economy reward seats in November 2026, as well as January and February 2027, with some days having 3 seats. Even better, you’ll find Business Class seats up for grabs in December 2026, January and February 2027. Some dates have 4 seats. Unfortunately none of the Business Class is showing as Club Suite right now, but set an Alert with RFF and don’t miss out if this changes.

London Heathrow – San Diego, with British Airways

There are patches of Premium Economy and Business Class reward seats from November 2026, through to April 2027 with dates having 4 seats in each cabin. There are even dates with the newest Club Suite seats still up for grabs.

London Heathrow – Nairobi, with British Airways

Premium Economy seats are available to book in October to December 2026, with quite a lot of days having 4 seats. Business Class doesn’t fare as well unfortunately, although you’ll find dates with 2 seats in October and November 2026.

London Gatwick- St Lucia, with British Airways

One of the most in-demand winter getaway destinations – if you’re happy to fly Premium Economy, you’ll find a selection of reward seats in November 2026 through to March 2027, with some days having 6 seats to book with Avios. For Business Class check December 2026 and March 2027 where there are a few days with 2 seats to snap up.
