The 2026 FIFA World Cup is well underway, and, for the first time, Canada, Mexico and the United States will co-host football’s biggest event, while an expanded field of 48 teams will compete for the sport’s most coveted prize.

If you’re looking to use your Avios on a trip to this bucket list world event, you’re in luck because there’s some great availability.

Take a look at some of the best spots between now and the final on 19 July 2026.

Mexico

London Heathrow – Mexico City, with British Airways

There are Premium Economy reward seats available from the end of June to the end of July – lots of days still have 6 seats. There’s a lovely line of Business Class availability in the first couple of weeks of July, with many days having 5 seats. There’s also an abundance of dates with 1 or 2 First Class seats in July.

London City, Gatwick, Heathrow – Monterrey, with Iberia

You’ll need to split this journey into 2 legs.

Between London and Madrid there’s not much Economy to plump for, although a few days still have 6 seats here and there. There’s a good amount of Business Class though.

Between Madrid and Monterrey, you’ll see some solid Premium Economy and Business Class availability in July. Lots of days have 4 Premium Economy and 6 Business Class seats to book with points.

The Avios and taxes costs should also be cheaper by splitting it this way. Win, win!

Canada

London Heathrow – Toronto, with British Airways

There’s Premium Economy availability at the end of June, and from mid to late July. Here you’ll see days with 5 seats. For Business Class, check the first couple of weeks of July, a good amount of days have 6 seats.

London Gatwick, Heathrow – Vancouver, British Airways

I’d take a guess that there’s been a recent release on this route because if you look now, you can get Premium Economy and Business Class right through from the end of June to late July, loads of days have 6 seats in each cabin.

USA

London Heathrow – Dallas, with British Airways

There are a few days of Premium Economy reward seats availability at the end of June, and from mid to the end of July – with those few days having 6 seats. Business Class availability is poor for the outbound leg, but for the return trip, you’ll see some good spots in July, with days having 6 seats. There are 2 days with First Class availability for the return flight in mid July.

London Gatwick, Heathrow – New York, with British Airways

Thanks to BA’s excellent schedule, you’ll find loads of Premium Economy reward seats from the end of June, to the end of July – with many days having 6 seats. Business Class availability is also looking good throughout July, with lots of days having 4 seats to book with points.

London Heathrow – Atlanta, with British Airways

Right now there’s an abundance of reward seats available across Premium Economy, Business Class, and even First Class from the end of June, to the end of July. Most days have at least 4 seats in each cabin.

London Heathrow – Los Angeles, with British Airways

Sadly, there’s nothing for the outward journey, but there’s decent availability across Premium Economy and Business Class for the journey home. Many days have at least 5 seats in each cabin.

London Heathrow – Houston, British Airways

Another route where there appears to have been a fresh release. You’ll see loads of Premium Economy and Business Class reward seats available to book right through from the end of June to late July – 6 seats in each cabin. There’s also First Class availability on the outward trip at the end of June and mid-July.

London Heathrow – Philadelphia, with British Airways

There’s some really nice Premium Economy and Business Class availability from the end of June to mid July. Lots of days have 4 seats in each cabin to book with Avios.

London Heathrow – Seattle, with British Airways

For the outward journey, you’ll need to stick to Premium Economy. Although there are a decent number of days with 2 or 3 seats available. Homebound, you’ll find a better selection – most days have 4 Premium Economy and 6 Business Class seats throughout July.

London Heathrow – Miami, British Airways

Look now and you’ll find pretty limited Premium Economy and Business Class reward seat availability in July. There are spots of days with 2 or 3 days to book in each cabin, both ways.
