New BA Amex Avios offers
American Express has launched several new offers that you will need to register for on your British Airways card by clicking on Save To Card. These offers are all on my BA Premium Plus Amex, but it is worth looking at the basic BA Amex too, as they are probably included. Obviously, you will be double dipping, and you will also earn the Avios from the actual amount spent on your card too, as normal.
Book a hotel with Avios Hotels and/or hire a car through avios.com
If you book a pre-paid hotel room, experiences and car bookings online with cash, not Avios, at www.avios.com/en-GB/spend-avios/rewards/hotels, you will collect 5 bonus Avios per £1 spent, on top of the standard Avios collection rate. The spend must be billed to your Card account by 7 October.
Avios hotels are run by Expedia, but they are sometimes more expensive than booking direct with Expedia. However, given that you will also earn the base rate of 10 Avios for every £1 you spend on hotels and 5 Avios per £1 for car hire, you may think it is worth the extra few pounds at 10-15 Avios per £1 spent. The car hire is for Avis/Budget brands.
Purchases made on finance or buy now, pay later options are not included in the offer, and using a service like PayPal to pay is also excluded.
1,000 bonus Avios on eligible spend of £150+ online at Avios Shop
You can also collect 1,000 bonus Avios when you spend £150 in cash at Avios Shop by 7 October. The offer is only valid once per Card and the Avios should appear on your American Express Card Account statement within 30 days from the date you made an eligible transaction.
Avios Shop sells the latest Apple technology, from the iPhone to iPad as well over 400 products from 48 well-known brands. Highlights include travel accessories, homeware and beauty products from names such as Antler, Dyson, Smeg and Garmin. You can earn Avios or pay part of your purchases in Avios.
It is always worth comparing prices as sometimes you will be able to buy products elsewhere cheaper. For example, Air Pods 4 cost £119 on the Avios shop, the same as John Lewis but you could buy them for £95 on Argos with a voucher code.
You also can’t qualify for the offer if you use the mobile phone app so you will need to purchase through www.avios.com/en-GB/avios-shop.
Wine Flyer 3000 bonus
Finally, there is a Wine Flyer offer: spend £99 or more at The Wine Flyer and earn 3,000 bonus Avios. This is in addition to the 5 Avios per £q1 spent that you will earn on the value of your order. Again, the offer must be charged to your card by 7 October and the offer is only valid for orders delivered to the UK and excludes deliveries to the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. Mail and telephone orders are also excluded.
Up to 60k bonus for British American Express cards
American Express and British Airways have launched new limited-time sign-up offers on three British Airways American Express® Cards for eligible new Cardmembers. The offers are available until 6 October 2026, with up to 60,000 Avios available if you meet the minimum spend requirements. So, if you have been considering one of the cards, the bonus may be worth considering.
However, just after this sign-up period expires, there are major changes happening to the Premium Plus card’s earning rates which you should consider before applying.
- The rate of earning drops from 1.5 Avios per £1 to 1.25 Avios per £1
- The rate of earning for spend with British Airways and British Airways Holidays drops from 3 Avios per £1 to 1.25 Avios per £1
If you are chasing BA status, there is better news: from 1 April 2027, tier point earning is not a special offer you have to register for and hope it comes back. Tier point earnings will be automatic on the Premium Plus card, with 1 tier point per £10 of eligible spend, up to a maximum of 3,000 TP per British Airways Club collection year. There are no thresholds, so you will earn them like Avios, credited each month based on your spend.
British Airways Premium Plus American Express 60,000 tier point bonus
There is double the usual sign up bonus for those who apply and are approved for the British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card on or before 6 October 2026. Then you need to spend £6,000 in their first three months to receive 60,000 Avios – double the usual 30,000 bonus Avios available.
The BA PP Amex gives you a companion voucher when you spend £15,000 in a Cardmembership year. This allows you to take a companion on the same flight – including World Traveller Plus, Club World (Business) and First – for no additional Avios. If travelling solo, you will receive a 50% discount on the Avios price for their Reward Flight. Cardmembers will also have access to additional Reward Flight seats in Club World when booking with a Companion Voucher.
The British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card has a representative APR of 135.7% variable, calculated including a £300 annual fee. Terms and conditions apply.
British Airways American Express® Credit Card offer
Eligible new Cardmembers who apply and are approved for the free British Airways American Express® Credit Card on or before 6 October 2026 and spend £2,000 in their first three months can now receive 10,000 Avios – double the usual 5,000 bonus Avios available.
You also get a companion voucher when you spend £15,000 in a Cardmembership year but the voucher is only for Euro Traveller or World Traveller (Economy).
The British Airways American Express® Credit Card has a representative APR of 29.1% variable. Terms and conditions apply.
British Airways American Express® Accelerating Business Card offer
New Business Cardmembers who apply and are approved for the British Airways American Express® Accelerating Business Card on or before 6 October 2026 and spend £5,000 in their first three months can receive 40,000 Avios.
For every £20,000 you spend on the card, you can get 10,000 bonus Avios (up to three times per calendar year).
From 7 October 2026, Cardmembers can receive up to £200 back in statement credits when they spend on their Card at Avios Hotels or Avios Car Hire.
The British Airways American Express® Accelerating Business Card has a representative APR of 104.9% variable, including a £250 annual fee. Terms and conditions apply.
Who can apply?
The new Cardmember offers for the BA Premium Plus and BA Amex are only available if you don’t currently have a personal British Airways American Express® Card and have not had one in the last 24 months.
For the British Airways American Express® Accelerating Business Card, the offer is only available if you don’t currently have an American Express® Business Card, and have not had one in the last 12 months.

I have written several times about the Disloyalty program, which covers some of Accor’s premium hotels. This is a paid program that gives some great discounts, such as 50% off new hotels.
