British Airways up to 40% off London City Avios flights
BA has launched the first of its Black Friday week offers. You should receive an email, but if you don’t, the offer can still be accessed by booking on ba.com.
There are two different discounts available on Avios flights departing from London City when you book by 27 November for travel between 21 November 2023 and 31 March 2024. Reward Flight Saver and Avios & Money bookings are included in the offer, but only the Avios will be discounted by up to 40%.
- Economy (Euro traveller) – up to 40% off
- Business class (Club Europe) – 25% off

It’s worth bearing in mind that Club Europe is a bit of a waste at London City since there is no lounge and onboard, the seats are 2-2, so no middle seat free. Obviously, you do get a meal and drinks on board still.

Ebay and Nectar plus £5 cashback
If you have connected your Ebay and Nectar accounts, or collect Nectar points, look out for an email so that you can register for the latest offer. You get 5x Nectar points when you spend £10+ on one item before 23 November.
You need to click ‘Activate now’ to activate the offer from the email.
There is also an Amex offer that can be stacked with it. You get £5 back when you spend £15+ at eBay by 31st December on orders shipped from the UK to UK accounts. The offer is cumulative, and the spend includes postage.
Eurostar sale from £39 and why you should book via Uber
Eurostar has launched its Black Friday sale with fares starting from £39 one way. The offer runs until 27 November 27 for travel between 3 January and 16 March 2024. The sale is for trains to and from Paris, Lille, Brussels, Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
However, if you have an Uber account, you should book the tickets with them. Firstly, there is a targeted promotion for an extra 1,000 Avios for every train and coach up to a maximum of 4-6000 Avios when you book by the end of November. Secondly, you will also receive 10% back in Uber credits when you book on or before 29th February 2024.

A problem with Uber train tickets, certainly on U.K. trips, is that they do t give you the very helpful delay and cancellation messages that Trainline do. I had a Trainline trip cancelled on early Monday morning, good early message on Sunday from TL, full refund back in 24 hours.
I do t think Uber do that, the service is worth more to me than the10% – proactive time,y comms
Yes I’d agree that Uber are not as good as Trainline. For example the apple wallet ticket you have to go into the wallet everytime whereas Trainline shows on your home screen. But for the Avios offer I am definitely using Uber.
