AMEX Offer: Earn 10 Avios per £1 with Heathrow Express
If you’re travelling on the Heathrow Express before 31st July, AMEX has sent a targeted offer of 10 Avios per £1 spent, up to 1,000 Avios. That means you’ll earn the bonus rate on up to £100 of spend.

Heathrow Express remains the quickest way to travel from London Paddington to Heathrow. Trains depart every 15 minutes and take just 15 minutes. They have free onboard Wi-Fi, charging ports at every seat, and plenty of luggage space.
Avios should appear on your American Express Card Account statement within 30 days from the date you made an eligible transaction, but it could take longer in some instances. Once awarded, Avios will transfer to your British Airways account on your usual transfer date.
How to Earn Avios via the Heathrow Express
Usually, you’d earn 5 Avios per £1 on Heathrow Express tickets when booking via Avios.com—but only on full fare adult tickets. Discounted fares, Advance Purchase tickets, and promos like Duo Saver don’t qualify and won’t track. That’s what makes this AMEX offer especially appealing: you can earn 10 Avios per £1 on any qualifying spend, without the need to go through Avios.com.
Instead, you could opt to collect Heathrow Rewards Points via My Heathrow, but this will only earn you 1 Avios per £1 spent. Heathrow Rewards Points can be transferred to Avios at a 1:1 rate.
If you’ve been targeted for this offer, it’s well worth signing up even if you have just one journey planned between now and 31st July.
Hilton Buy Points 100% Bonus
Hilton Honors is offering a 100% bonus when you buy 5,000+ points by 24th July. It’s a recurring offer, but still one worth considering, especially if you’ve got a redemption stay in mind.
We always recommend that you have a clear plan before purchasing points so you can make sure you’re getting the best value and that the points value is better than the cash value. Redemptions start at 10,000 points and can be upwards of 200,000 points.
Purchasing points can be especially valuable if you want to take advantage of the 5th night free benefit for redemptions.
The maximum number of points you can purchase is 240,000, although some people have 160,000 showing as the maximum. With the bonus, you will get 480,000 for £1,980.48.
Any number of points purchased between 5,000 and 240,000 comes to 0.41p per point. You can use this as a baseline to determine if the cash or points value is better.
Example
Take the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, where standard reward nights start at 120,000 points. If you bought points at 0.41p each, that redemption would effectively cost £492.
That works out to 0.94p per point, which is more than double what you paid.
Example: When Not to Buy Points
A standard room redemption is 75,000, and the cash rate is £243 (4th-5th February 2026). Purchasing 76,000 points (closest available) is £313.58 – more than the cash value.
Things to Note
- Points will be in your account within 48 hours of the transaction.
- Hilton occasionally tests different offers. If you’re shown a smaller bonus or price discount, this is why!
- Your account must have been active for at least 30 days after the activity is shown, or 90 days, regardless.

IHG Offer: Stay 3 Pay for 2 on Suites
IHG One Rewards has just launched a new third-night-free promotion: Stay three nights in a suite for the price of two. This promotion also applies to longer stays (e.g. six nights for the price of four).
You must book before 30th September and stay between now and 31st October 2025.
The deal applies to suites and ‘premium rooms’ at InterContinental, Kimpton, Hotel Indigo, voco and Crowne Plaza.
Other brands included in the offer are Regent, Vignette Collection, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn & Suites, and Staybridge Suites Hotels.

Free Cancellation Until 72 Hours Before
Unlike many IHG promotions, which only apply to non-refundable bookings, this offer includes a flexible rate. One night will be charged for cancellations less than 72 hours before arrival.
Worth It?
While looking into this offer, I found that most hotels were not participating, and many cities indicated on the page did not seem to have any hotels running the offer. However, if you look closely, plenty of amazing deals are available,
Example 1
Taking the Voco Paris (5th-8th October) as an example, this Queen Suite Single Sofa Bed is already cheaper than a Queen Cosy room.
Again, the free cancellation rate is lower than the non-refundable rates with this offer!
A suite for 3 nights with the offer costs £378.16 (with city tax, etc., added on), whereas the Queen Cosy costs £456.89. You’re getting a better room, an extra night, and saving money.
Example 2
Looking at the InterContinental Park Lane (14th- 17th July), the Prestige Suite is the lowest in the suite category to be eligible for this promotion. Plenty of suite types are excluded from the offer.
Once you click book, watch out for VAT and see whether it’s still worth the cost. The cost originally advertised (above) does not include VAT, and the room type seemed to go up once I clicked through.
The highest room type available without the promotion is £2,562 with VAT. Even with the discount, this is still over £1,000 cheaper than the suite room, but whether it’s worth it depends on how much extra you’re willing to pay for a suite. It’s certainly much less than it would have been.
If you were already going to book a suite, this deal makes it well worth the extra night. If you had a standard rate, make sure you price up the room and a hotel suite to ensure you’re getting the best deal. A suite may work out cheaper!
