Complimentary Small Luxury Hotels of the World Club 02 Status
SLH is most well-known among readers due to its partnership with Hilton, but it also has its own loyalty programme. Until 19th September (this Friday), you can get complimentary Club 02 status with Small Luxury Hotels of the World just by entering a competition running in partnership with Vodafone.
To enter, you must be a Vodafone customer, but there are multiple reports of people with Vodafone WIFI and non-Vodafone customers entering and getting automatic status.
The SLH loyalty programme has three tiers, and you would normally need to stay 4 nights plus for 02 status.
Being a SLH status holder has some great benefits, including:
-
Complimentary Breakfast
-
Room Upgrades (Subject to Availability)
-
Special Bonus Rates
This is on top of the Club 01 benefits, which include:
- Early Check-In
- Late Check-Out
- Car Rental Savings
- Early Access to New Hotels
- Two Trees Planted for Each Night Booked
- VIP Help Desk
- SLH Club Rate
- Free In-Room Water
- Bespoke Travel Tips
Yes, you can book SLH hotels via Hilton and receive some of the benefits, such as complimentary breakfast, a potential upgrade and earn Hilton points, but as an SLH member, you may get access to cheaper deals. It’s worth holding status with both and comparing the best deal for each stay.
Once you’ve entered the competition, you will automatically be upgraded to 02 status, where you can enjoy benefits at the 620 hotels in 90 countries that are part of the loyalty programme, including London hotels such as Dukes London, Vintry, and Mercer, Flemings Mayfair, and more. Status should be effective immediately.
The competition is well worth entering regardless. You have the chance to win 9 nights of SLH hotel stays. Your stay at any one SLH hotel can’t exceed three 3 room nights, and you must stay within 12 months. More terms apply.
This is a great offer even if you don’t currently stay at SLH properties. You may end up winning 9 nights!
You can enter via the link below or go to the Rewards tab of the Vodafone app.
Aer Lingus Relocates to Manchester Terminal 2
Aer Lingus has just relocated all Manchester Airport operations to the newly redeveloped Terminal 2, including regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines.
The move forms part of Manchester Airport’s Ā£1.3 billion transformation programme, a decade-long investment that has already doubled the size of T2. Aer Lingus isn’t the only airline to move terminals. You’ll now have self-service kiosks, faster security, and upgraded WIFI and charging stations.

The terminal has a huge range of excellent shops from luxury names like Chanel, Gucci and Christian Dior to a new interactive LEGO ‘Store of the Future’. T2 has some great dining options too, such as The Great Northern Market (a 472-seat food hall), Joe & The Juice, Amber Alehouse and more.
Luxair will also be moving on 22nd September, and plenty of other airlines are due to move in the coming months. Once everything is completed, Terminal 1 will close, and Terminal 2 is expected to host 70% of Manchester Airport passengers.
Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said:
“Aer Lingus customers will enjoy enhanced comfort and convenience at Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. This terminal has been designed with a customer centric focus and will provide customers travelling between the island of Ireland and Manchester with improved facilities and seamless connections to Aer Lingusā exciting transatlantic destinations, including a direct flight from Manchester to Barbados.
āOur new and improved Manchester hub will ensure our customers have everything they need to start and finish their trips in the best possible way.”
As well as Barbados, Aer Lingus has transatlantic routes from Manchester to Orlando and New York JFK. You can also connect via Dublin to a huge range of routes. Flying to the US via Dublin, you can avail of US customs preclearance at Dublin Airport.
If you hold Platinum or Concierge AerClub status, you will have access to the Escape Lounges. If you’re flying in Business Class to New York, Orlando or Barbados, you can access the 1903 lounge. Eligible customers, including those flying on Aer Lingus Regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines, will be able to access the Aspire Lounge.

IHG Offer: Up to 70,000 Bonus Points on Stays
IHG has launched another global promotion. You can now earn up to 70,000 bonus points for stays between 1st October and 31st December 2025.
Here’s how it works:
- 1st Stay – No Bonus Points
- 2nd Stay – 2x points
- 3rd Stay – 3x points
You can then keep earning bonus points for every stay until you’ve earned 70,000 points.
To be eligible, you have to register for the promotion. You can register at any time from now until 31st December.
If you have just one mid-high value stay booked, consider booking a cheap night at an IHG property first so your other stay is eligible for the promotion. You could also book a second stay, so your 3rd stay will earn 3x points. Just keep in mind that your bonus points are limited to 70,000. Make sure you work out your potential earnings with 2x or 3x points before planning your stays.

A Stay Example

If you book a one-night stay at an IHG hotel costing $100 (Ā£73), you usually earn 1,000 base points (10 points per $1). Under this promotion, your second stay would double that to 2,000 points.
It’s a shame there’s a cap of 70,000 bonus points, which can be reached with a few high-value stays and a spend of around $3,650.
If you then booked a $3,450 (Ā£2,528) stay, you’d earn 34,500 base points and, under the 3X offer, should receive 69,000 bonus points. That brings you neatly to the cap, leaving you with 103,500 points for your high-value stay. Add the 3,000 points from your other stays, and you have 106,500 points.
This isn’t including the bonus points you’d get based on your IHG status. This ranges from 20% for Silver Elite (114,000 points total) to 100% for Diamond Elite (143,000 points total).
You could then redeem your points for something like a one-night stay at the Vignette Collection Noku Maldives on 6th-7th January 2026 (Ā£834) from 120,000 points (0.7p per point). That’s a 28% return on spend, even without IHG status, rising to 37% with Diamond. This is why the two lower-value stays at the start are really worth it.
If you haven’t got any stays planned, it’s worth registering now in case something unexpected comes up.
Things to Note
- At least 1 night must be over $30 (Ā£21.96) or equivalent.
- Reward nights and cash + points stays do not count.
- Only one room per night earns towards the promo, even if you book multiple.
- Existing bookings do count as long as you’ve registered
