How to Get Double Flying Blue XP Until 30th April

Flying Blue has launched a targeted Double XP offer via statusmatch.com. For £159, you can earn double XP (Experience Points) on eligible Air France and KLM flights until 30th April 2026, provided the XP Booster is purchased by 1st April.
If you’ve been targeted, you’ll receive the offer via email.
Double XP will make it easier to earn status, though it’s essential to work out whether it’s worth the fee, and this depends entirely on how much you’ll be flying before 30th April.
The offer is cheaper than the last one of this type, which was £199, but it has a much shorter date range and applies only to new bookings.
If Double XP helps you reach the next status tier or retain status you’d otherwise miss, it could be an excellent investment. It may also be useful if you want to roll over some XP to the next year, up to the 300 XP cap, though it’s worth noting that extra XP will not count towards Ultimate Experience Points.
As a reminder, for Flying Blue status, you need to earn:
| Flying Blue Status | Number of XP Needed |
| Silver | 100 XP |
| Gold | 180 XP (+100 XP for Silver = 280 XP) |
| Platinum | 300 XP (+280XP for Gold = 580 XP) |
| Ultimate | 900 UXP |
This is an excellent offer if you can make use of it!

Jet2 Becomes the Latest Emirates Skywards Partner
There are many ways to earn and spend Emirates Skywards miles, despite Emirates not being part of an airline alliance. The programme already has a UK partnership with easyJet, and the latest airline to join the list is Jet2.
You’ll be able to redeem Skywards miles for more than 75 Jet2 leisure, city, and ski destinations, plus paid extras such as meals, extra baggage, and preferred seat selection. Jet2 currently operates flights from 13 UK bases, with Gatwick set to join in March.
Redemptions start at 8,000 Skywards miles, including taxes and charges, but vary based on the cash fare. For example:
- Premium Economy Flex with Emirates London to Sydney via Dubai = 18,000 Miles = enough for a round-trip Jet2 flight ticket from Stansted to Majorca.
- Manchester to Dubai in Business Class Flex = 21,000 Miles = a round-trip Jet2 ticket from Manchester to Salzburg.
It’s always good to have a wide range of partnerships available when redeeming miles. However, the number of miles needed for Jet2, like EasyJet, is based on the cash rate, so they are usually poor value, unlike premium cabin redemptions and cabin upgrades. Though this partnership may help offset the cost of school holiday travel or other peak periods.
Other options for redeeming Skywards Miles include over 20 airline partners, including Air Canada and Qantas, as well as Emirates Skywards Hotels, Marriott, Accor, and more.

Domes Resorts Confirms Tenerife Baobab Suites Takeover for First Spanish Property

The Greek luxury hotel group Domes will make its Spanish debut by taking over operations of the 125-suite, five-star Baobab Suites.
The resort is located in Costa Adeje, 15 minutes’ drive from Tenerife South Airport and 5 minutes via a free shuttle from the beach, in a quiet residential area.
Accommodation is all-suite, with options ranging from one to four bedrooms. Many suites have large terraces, with select units offering private pools or jacuzzis – very much aimed at guests who value space and privacy.
Facilities include a kids club for ages 3-12, an on-site spa and wellness centre, two heated shared pools, and a newly added sports area featuring four padel courts, beach volleyball, power biking, and dedicated yoga and Pilates spaces.
There are three on-site restaurants, alongside more casual venues such as BB Lounge Club for sunset drinks with a view and La Placita for all-day refreshments.
Domes Resorts now manages 19 five-star properties across 12 destinations. Some operate under Marriott or Hilton branding, but for now, there is no confirmation that Baobab Suites will join either loyalty programme.
Dr. George P. Spanos, CEO of Domes Resorts, said:
“We are extremely pleased to be entering Spain and, in particular, the rapidly growing market of Tenerife.
“As a year-round, twelve-month sunny destination, Tenerife is highly attractive and strongly demanded by our Domes clientele. Baobab Suites is a beautiful property in an excellent location, professionally managed, and I would like to congratulate Filip Hoste for his efficiency.
“At Domes Resorts, we continue to pursue our strategic expansion beyond Greece, while offering diversified and high-quality hospitality experiences to our guests.”
