Virgin Summer 2019
Virgin Atlantic has announced a significant increase in flights from Manchester for next summer with flights increasing by 20%. There will be a new route to Los Angeles, as well as an increase in services to both Boston and Las Vegas.
A number of routes, including New York and Atlanta, will be flown on the Boeing 747.
From summer 2019, the services will include;
- A new route to Los Angeles, operating three times weekly (commences 26th May 2019)
- Services to Las Vegas are doubling, growing from twice a week to four times a week (from 31st March 2019)
- Our Boston service increases to 3 per week (from 25th May 2019)
- Our daily New York and Atlanta services operate principally on a 747, with seat capacity of 455 per flight
Get a flight to Boston for £3.95 with Virgin Atlantic this week
After Virgin’s successful “fly to Miami for £50” which a couple of TLFL readers were lucky enough to secure, they are now doing an even better promotion on 1 June 2018. To mark the start of its Boston flights for this year, Virgin Atlantic is giving Mancunians the chance to fly to Boston for the price of a cup of tea. On 1st June, 50 people will be able to secure a return flight to Boston from Manchester for £3.95 – providing they do some homework up on the Boston first. Inspired by the Boston Tea Party, Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew will arrive at Richmond Tea Rooms, ready to quiz participants on a variety of Boston trivia. Two entrants will go head to head, answering a series of questions about the city, before one can unlock the £3.95 price – the cost of a pot of tea in the Richmond Tea Rooms.

Hong Kong business class from £1548
Hong Flights are notoriously expensive direct from the UK with the best value ones being offered by Finnair or KLM/Air France. There is a good value fare at the moment with Air France or KLM from Heathrow via Paris or Amsterdam starting from £1548. The rules of the fare are:
- Minimum stay 6 nights or a Saturday night
- Non-refundable
- Changeable for £240
- Must be booked at least 60 days in advance.
You can book flights on Air France or KLM.

I can’t find this Hong Kong Fare for anything like as low as £1548. Any clues?
July to September has availibility if you search on google flights.
Hopefully this means there might be some redemptions available on Virgin from the North, I always struggle to find availability.
Now is the time to book as the new flights should be wide open!
