Currensea Launches New American Airlines AAdvantage Debit Cards + Launch Bonus
American Airlines has just launched UK payment cards for the first time since its previous UK credit card disappeared in 2018. The cards are in partnership with Currensea and Mastercard, adding to Currensea’s growing range of branded cards, including the United MileagePlus card and new Lufthansa Miles & More card.
You can choose between two cards: the AAdvantage Mastercard Platinum Debit Card and the AAdvantage Mastercard Black Debit Card.
Eligible base miles earned from card spending and successful referrals earn one Loyalty Point per mile, helping you earn status faster. You’ll need 40,000 Loyalty Points for Gold and 75,000 for Platinum. Welcome and promotional bonus miles do not earn Loyalty Points.
AAdvantage Mastercard Platinum Debit Card – £75 Per Year

- Welcome Bonus: 2,000 miles for £1,500 foreign spend within 12 months
- UK and Europe Earning Rate: 1.5 miles per £3 spent (equivalent to 0.5 miles per £1)
- Earning Rate Outside the UK and Europe: 3 miles per £3 spent (equivalent to 1 mile per £1).
- Renewal Bonus: 1,000 miles when you renew after spending £5,000 during the previous 12 months.
AAdvantage Mastercard Black Debit Card – £195 Per Year

- Welcome Bonus: 5,000 miles for £3,500 foreign spend within 12 months
- UK and Europe Earning Rate: 2 miles per £3 spent (equivalent to 0.67 miles per £1)
- Earning rate outside the UK and Europe: 4 miles per £3 spent (equivalent to 1.33 miles per £1)
- Extra Benefits: Unlimited priority check-in at Heathrow and Preferred Boarding (Group 5) on AA-operated flights, plus an AAdvantage Accelerator that increases earnings to 2 miles per £1 spent in foreign currency (including euros, though the FX fee increases to 2.95%). This replaces the normal foreign currency earning rate.
- Renewal Bonus: 2,500 miles when you renew after spending £10,000 during the previous 12 months
Both cards have FX fees of 0.95% and an uncapped refer-a-friend bonus of 1,000 miles for you and the person you refer once they make their first purchase. Miles earned on the card don’t expire, and you can also use Roundup Miles to earn extra miles on your spend.
Launch Offers
There’s also a limited-time American Airlines spend bonus. You’ll get a bonus of 2,000 miles with the Platinum card and 5,000 miles with the Black card if you sign up by 30th March 2027 and spend £250 on qualifying purchases billed directly by American Airlines within the first 12 months.
There is also a 1 million AAdvantage miles giveaway, with five cardholders winning 200,000 miles each. There are five monthly draws from November 2026 to March 2027, with one winner receiving 200,000 miles in each draw. Once you have your card, you’ll be entered into each subsequent draw. You must apply for and purchase your card by 11.59 PM on 22nd February 2027 to enter.
There’s now a fantastic range of branded airline and hotel Currensea cards to choose from. It’s always good to have a debit card where you can earn points/miles from your spend. The cards are particularly interesting as a way to earn American Airlines status and, in turn, Oneworld status.
Up to 55% Bonus When You Buy or Gift Marriott Points

Until 23rd November 2026, you will get a bonus of up to 55% when you buy or gift Marriott points. Your bonus will depend on the offer you’ve been targeted with. This time around, my account has been targeted with the full 55% bonus.
You’ll need to purchase at least 2,000 points to receive the bonus, and for this offer, the annual purchase limit has been increased to 200,000 points, up from 150,000, so if you’ve already reached the previous limit this year, you can still take advantage of this offer. 200,000 points with the 55% bonus would get you 310,000 points. Bonus points don’t count toward the limit.
Whether you purchase 2,000 or 200,000, the rate per point works out at 0.61p, which is better than most promotions we’ve seen this year.
Before you purchase points, we recommend you have a specific redemption planned where buying and redeeming the points works out cheaper than paying the cash rate. At 0.61p per point, buying points won’t make sense for every redemption. However, there are still plenty of hotels where it would be cheaper to pay with points, especially if you also take advantage of Marriott’s Stay for 5, Pay for 4 benefit on eligible five-night award stays.
Keep in mind that points are sold in USD, so factor in the FX fee or use a fee-free card to avoid losing value.
Points will be credited to your account within 72 hours.

3,000 Bonus Hyatt Points for Every Three Nights

World of Hyatt has just launched its latest global promotion. You can now earn 3,000 bonus points for every three eligible nights until 15th December 2026.
Participating properties include Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide, participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas and Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt.
The nights don’t need to be consecutive, so you can earn the bonus across multiple stays, and reward nights are also eligible. You can earn up to 36,000 bonus points across 36 nights.
The bonus is on top of the points you’ll already earn: 5 base points per $1 (exceptions apply), plus up to a 30% elite bonus depending on your status. Off-peak Hyatt redemptions start at just 3,000 points per night, so a single bonus could cover a free night or give you a head start toward a more luxurious stay.
As with most promotions, you’ll need to register before you stay. It’s worth signing up even if you don’t have any Hyatt stays planned. Bonus points will appear in your account within 3 weeks after check-out.
While this may not be Hyatt’s most lucrative promotion, it seems to be better value than some of the promotions we’ve seen from other major hotel groups recently.
