Singapore Airlines Announces Free Starlink WIFI

Singapore Airlines has chosen Starlink to upgrade its onboard Wi-Fi, with a progressive rollout beginning in the first quarter of 2027. Starlink provides ultra-fast WIFI in the sky using low-Earth-orbit satellites for faster speeds and a better connection throughout the flight.
Starlink will be introduced on Singapore Airlines’ Airbus A350-900 long-haul and ultra-long-range aircraft, as well as its Airbus A380s.
The rollout is expected to be completed by the end of 2029, so it will be a while before you can count on fast WIFI on a specific aircraft. Only some of the London flights will have Starlink by 2029 (if the same aircraft are still used on the route). Heathrow is served by a mix of Boeing 777-300ER, Airbus A380-800 and Airbus A350-900. The Gatwick route is also served by an Airbus A350-900. The 777-300ER services from Heathrow will not have Starlink.
This is a step forward for Singapore Airlines, which already provides free WIFI which is already pretty good. Starlink will be available to all passengers in Business and First, as well as passengers in Premium Economy and Economy, who add their KrisFlyer number to the booking.
Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, said:
“Fast, seamless connectivity is, today, an essential part of the travel experience. Singapore Airlines already offers the world’s most comprehensive complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi across our entire fleet. Starlink will take this to the next level by delivering next-generation high-speed connectivity, enabling customers to stay entertained, connected, and productive throughout their journey, with a smoother and seamless experience from take-off to landing.”
Singapore Airlines follows a huge wave of airlines that have already announced Starlink or started rolling it out. Qatar has already fitted Starlink across its Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 fleet, while BA launched its first Starlink-enabled aircraft in March, and Virgin is due to begin rolling it out this month on its A350s.

Alongside this offer, Meliá is also running a 1st child stays free offer, and a small selection of hotels have a two children stay free offer. The child must be sharing a standard double room with two adults.
The eligible property lists differ between the discount and child-stay-free offers, although most hotels appear in both.
If you have a stay in mind, make sure you book as soon as possible, as the offer is only available for a limited number of rooms at each hotel.
The maximum discount is 25%, but I looked at multiple examples, and most had a 15% discount, with some at 19%.
