Transfers from Marriott >< Nectar Now Live: Earn Up to 2,000 Bonus Nectar Points
You can now transfer points both ways between Marriott Bonvoy and Nectar.
- 2 Marriott Points = 1 Nectar Point
- 2 Nectar Points = 1 Marriott Point
You’ll earn 500 Nectar Points for each of your first 3 stays each programme year (17th July to 16th July). These are awarded on top of your usual Marriott Bonvoy earnings. Only cash stays qualify, not award nights.
If you’re new to Marriott, you can also get 500 bonus Nectar points for joining if you join via the Nectar link. This will also mean your accounts are automatically linked.
When you’ve linked your accounts, they must have been linked for at least 24 hours before booking to ensure you receive the bonus.
Once you’ve completed your stay, your points will be credited to your Nectar account within 7 days of checking out.
There’s a minimum transfer of 500 points in either direction, in multiples of 100 after that. Daily transfer caps are 50,000 Marriott Points and 100,000 Nectar Points. Transfers can take up to 48 hours to complete
Worth It?
With the view of accumulating as many points as possible, this deal is well worth signing up for. Even if you stay just 1 night with Marriott per year, you’ll receive 500 bonus Nectar Points. Linking your account is also helpful for Marriott redemptions if you’re just short of the required points.
However, the downside is that each Nectar Point (if kept as a Nectar Point) is worth 0.5p off your shopping. If you receive the full 1,500 Nectar Points, they will be worth just £7.50.
You will also lose value if you transfer Nectar Points to Marriott for 750 points. Nectar Points = 1 Marriott Bonvoy Point (that would mean 1p per Nectar point)
Keep in mind that this is 500-2,000 bonus Nectar Points that you wouldn’t have otherwise received, which can potentially be transferred back into free Marriott points.
Other things to note are that this will not break your Marriott >< Avios link, and it’s only possible to link and unlink your Marriott and Nectar accounts once.

25% Off New IHG Hotels in Europe
IHG is offering 25% off at recently opened and recently refurbished properties. To access the offer, you must book the ‘Book Early and Save with Breakfast’ rate, which is non-refundable and requires a reservation made at least three days in advance.
The deal is available across 33 hotels that have opened or reopened in the past 6 months. There’s no promo code, you need to go to the ‘New Hotels’ page on the IHG website or search for a hotel you know has recently opened.
A 25% discount is a great value, especially at high-end properties. If you have definite plans, it may be worth looking at what’s available. Make sure you’re logged into your account. Non-members get 15% off.
There’s a certain appeal to being among the first to stay at a new hotel, where everything is spotless and up to date, especially if you can do so at a discounted rate!
Here are some of our top picks:
UK:
- voco Fareham – Solent
- Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell
- Crowne Plaza East Midlands Airport
- voco Southampton
Northern Europe:
- Kimpton Main Frankfurt
- voco Malta
- Hotel Bristol Berlin
- voco Katowice
- Hotel Indigo Albufeira
- The Chania Hotel Crete, Vignette Collection
- voco Bilbao – City
Eastern Europe:
- InterContinental Grand Ankara
Southern Europe
- Kimpton Atlântico Algarve
Make sure to check whether the discounted rate is actually the best deal.
Here is the rate showing for a stay on 10th September at the voco Bilbao:
Most dates are included in the offer, though blackout dates apply, and some room types are excluded.
Some hotels seem to be running slightly different variations of the deal. For instance, at Hotel Indigo London Clerkenwell, the standard member rate is actually cheaper than the new hotel offer, and the new hotel offer includes breakfast and dinner.
If you’re planning a trip outside of Europe, IHG is also running a sale with up to 25% off hotels booked before 15th August for stays until 15th October. You can read our article about it here. This sale is for using the ‘Book Now Pay Later’ and ‘Book Now Pay Later member rates’.

Bookings Now Open for Marriott’s New Lake Como EDITION Hotel
Marriott’s long-anticipated Lake Como EDITION hotel is finally opening its doors on 9th September 2025, but only briefly.
The new luxury hotel opens on 9th September 2025 for a limited inaugural season, closing again on 25th October before a full reopening in March 2026.
EDITION takes over the site of the former Britannia Excelsior on the quieter western shore of the lake in Cadenabbia. Once a 200-room 19th-century palazzo, the property has undergone a top-to-bottom renovation.
The Como EDITION will feature 145 thoughtfully designed rooms, including 25 suites. Expect white interiors, Calacatta marble, dark wood, and lake-inspired blues all softened with luxe details like faux fur throws and restored French balconies.
EDITION is one of Marriott’s premium brands alongside brands such as Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, W Hotels, and The Luxury Collection. The Como EDITION promises the brand’s trademark mix of understated sophistication and youthful energy. It’s being described as a:
“Dynamic retreat where international tastemakers and cultural innovators gather, redefining luxury in one of the world’s most sought-after destinations.”
The Hotel
Standard room categories include Standard, Superior Lake View, Deluxe, and Loft options.

Dining centres around Renzo, a Mediterranean restaurant with a relaxed but refined atmosphere led by chef Mauro Colagreco, complete with a pergola-shaded terrace, citrus trees, and lakeside views. Think nourishing breakfasts, leisurely brunches, long lunches, and slow aperitivos.

Poolside, a separate menu includes crispy octopus tacos, fish burgers, and refreshing spritzes.
