Barclaycard Launches a 35,000 Avios Bonus on the Avios Plus Mastercard
Barclaycard has increased the sign-up bonus for its paid Avios card. You can now earn 35,000 Avios when you apply by 15th January 2026 and meet the spend targets.
The bonus is awarded in two parts:
- 25,000 Avios when you spend £3,000 in the first 3 months
- An extra 10,000 Avios when you reach £6,000 in the first 6 months
Benefits of the £20/month Barclaycard Avios Plus include:

- 1.5 Avios per £1 spent
- A BA cabin upgrade voucher after £10,000 annual spend OR 7,000 Avios
- Access to discounted DragonPass lounges at £20.50 per visit via DragonPass Premier+
With the bonus + the 1.5 Avios per £1 spent, you’ll actually earn 44,000 Avios if you spend £6,000 in 6 months. That’s 7.33 Avios per £1! You also get 12 months of Apple TV, which is a nice extra if you don’t already have it.
Only the Avios Plus card is part of the offer. The free version still has a 5,000 Avios sign-up bonus.
You can only have one Barclaycard credit card at a time. If you cancel your current product, you must wait 6 months before submitting a new application.
This is the first boosted offer since 2023, and given how rarely Barclaycard runs promotions, you never know if/when it will come around again. It’s always helpful to hold a Visa or Mastercard alongside (or instead of) Amex, since plenty of places (especially smaller ones) don’t accept Amex. If you were thinking of signing up, now’s a great time! Just make sure you know you can meet the £6,000 spend requirement.

Leading Hotels of the World: Up to 100% Buy Points Bonus

Leading Hotels of the World has just launched a Leaders Club points purchase promotion. You can now get a 100% bonus on bought or gifted points when you purchase by 19th December 2025. Members can buy up to 50,000 points per calendar year before bonuses.
Bonuses include:
- 2,000 – 11,000 points – 50% bonus
- 12,000 – 29,000 points – 75% bonus
- 30,000 – 50,000 points – 100% bonus
Once purchased, points may take up to 10 days to be credited to your account.
You will need to sign up for the Leaders Club (free) to buy or gift points. It’s a pretty good loyalty programme, well worth signing up for.
Redemptions start at around 4,000 points per night, and there are over 500 hotels to choose from. Here are some of the top options, along with how much you’d pay based on $0.06 per point:
- The Datai Langkawi – from 12,014 points per night – £541
- Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa, Mauritius – from 10,870 points per night – £489
- VISTA Ostuni, Italy – from 12,359 points per night – £556
Purchasing points is not always worth it. You should also keep in mind that redemption stays do not earn points. Make sure you have a redemption in mind, and the points rate is better than the cash rate. With a bit of searching, you can find some great deals.
