OFFERS: Business class flights round up from £1010, Australia from £2566 on Oman Air

Welcome to our regular round-up of business class fares. If you are looking for the cheapest BA business class fares, the low fare finder is a great resource. 

A flight is only a bargain if you balance the standard of service and seat with the cost. Personally, I would not fly on most Chinese airlines apart from China Southern, and even then, I’d be reluctant due to the issues with visas etc if something went wrong when changing in China. I have never found Chinese airlines to be very good at business class service, although the food can be decent, and some airlines have decent seats. 

For the airlines you may be less familiar with, Oman air is one of my favourites. I also rate Jet Blue highly, but note that destinations other than New York and Boston will have the second leg in economy. Royal Jordanian are Oneworld and generally decent, but they often use short-haul aircraft on fairly long routes, so make sure you check the aircraft type. You can find all our airline reviews here.

All the BA/AA fares are six month advance purchase. An excellent example of the savings to be had by going via Dublin is Bermuda. Fly direct from Heathrow, and the cheapest fare on BA is £4282 versus £2131 flying from Dublin! (Note: The BA Double Tier Points offer only includes UK departures, so you could not use the offer from Dublin).

  1. It should be made clear that if you are attempting to combine a cheap fare ex-UK with a hotel or car hire to obtain Double Tier Points on BA, that’s not possible. BA don’t allow it.

  3. This is really helpful, thank you. If booking with Oman Air, would I earn TP and Avios to credit to my BA account?

    1. Not yet. They are due to join oneworld but we don’t have a firm date yet. If the flight could be booked on Malaysian and credited to BA you could but I only saw it on Oman. Always worth looking though.

  4. From Manchester to Houston £2111 gets you 19 hours on Singapore Airlines’ A350. Sales reduce that to below £2k.

  5. Thanks for that…. Gone are the days when Qatar appeared from each departure point , I didn’t notice one mention 🤷‍♂️

    1. There were a couple but so many places they are now the most expensive option. I miss pre-Covid travel! Personally unless it was ex UK where they usually only use A380 and QSuite I would not pay the high prices due to all the aircraft swaps. You could pay top dollar for a QSuite and end up with a clapped out B777 with 2-2-2 instead!

    1. Yes I was thinking the same. They have had some good fares for the last month or so, so let’s hope they continue!

  7. The links don’t seem to work? The first link I tried came up with multiple tracking alerts and I had to click several times to accept them only to get a ‘oops this offer has expired’ page. Every other link I tried prompted the same multitude of tracking demands so I gave up.

    1. Sorry to hear that Louise. We’ve not any other reports and it is working fine when I test them here. Do you have ad blocking on perhaps?

  8. Thanks for this! I was able to book my elderly parents Paris to Perth on Oman/MH for £2900 each. They were about to pay almost 4k for a premium economy seat so this was a great result.
