Good Hilton status match
If you are thinking of switching hotel alliances or perhaps want to add status in another hotel chain, the latest offer from Hilton could give you two years of status without too much outlay. You can also get Gold status via the Hilton Debit card, which gives you Gold status, but it costs £150 per year.
The status match could also be perfect if you just want to try out Hilton status for a particular trip or two. You can match from most major hotel chains and can get Gold status initially for 90 days if you are approved.
The key perks that Gold gets you are:
- Continental Breakfast or Daily Food and Beverage credit for you and a guest
- Space-available room upgrades
Here are the chains you can match from:
- Accor Live Limitless
- Best Western Rewards
- Choice Privileges
- World of Hyatt
- IHG One Rewards
- Marriott Bonvoy
- Posadas Fiesta Rewards
- Radisson Rewards
- Wyndham Rewards
The catch is that, as well as showing proof of status, you have to show you have stayed at the chain in the last 2 years. However, it does not specify what status you need to hold, so potentially you could match the equivalent of Silver and get Gold Hilton status. All that is stated is “elite,” which usually means any earned status.
Then the offer gets more interesting if you want to get the status for longer:
- If you complete 6 paid nights during the 90 days, you get Gold until March 2028
- If you complete 12 paid nights during the 90 days you get Diamond until March 2028
You can find the status match page here.
