OFFERS: Qatar Airways launch their January sale – business class from £1105

  • 09/01/2024
  • Michele

Qatar Airways has launched its January sale today, which lasts until 15 January 2024 and is available for travel until 31 October 2024.

As usual, the best deals are from Europe, and flights from the UK are very overpriced. Obviously, you need to do your research as what appears as the best deal may have some drawbacks such as long connection times in Doha or, as in the case of Belgrade, poor business class seats (some flights use short-haul aircraft and the others A330 which is 2-2-2 configuration. I’d also have a look at how much positioning flights are as well before making a decision. British Airways has a sale on until the end of the month.

Some of the flight prices are only available to book through an online travel agent. So, if you can’t find it on qatarairways.com, try Skyscanner for the cheapest online prices.

You can find the sale page here.

I wonder when (and if!) we will finally see Europe to Australia fares coming down. I recall pre-COVID the fare to Australia was a few hundred pounds more expensive than to Singapore or other South East Asian destinations. However, looking at the above they are still hovering at double the cost of Singapore which is two thirds the way there.

I guess they still must be filling their planes downunder with people willing to fork out huge amounts.

I’m guessing it’s still catching up from Covid times as Australia was closed for so long. I went to New Zealand for about £2300 a few years before Covid. The Chinese airlines are restarting now so hopefully that will help start to lower things.

Happy new year, and looking forward to seeing you again at the TLFL party next week. Have you some nice prizes lined up then?
Thanks for doing all the hard work on these ex EU headline flights. Was hoping for our favourite SE Asia lead cities to come in around the €1500 mark. Bit disappointing, but not surprised, as people are still buying J seats as a treat after covid… maybe later this year or early next year we might see some better fares appearing. However, using our BA 241 on EDI Singapore, to HKT, end of January. Can’t wait to turn left on that BA plane!

Yes it is a shame that prices are still so high although I have managed to get a few bargains here and there! Yes we will be announcing the prizes once we have all the responses. Look forward to seeing you there!

I used to fly business foe 2500 and now it’s over 7000 – it’s ridiculous. Even economy is over 2000. I think the airlines are cashing in our people who want to visit family.

I was taken by surprise by @queenelizabetholympicp I was taken by surprise by @queenelizabetholympicpark and Stratford. I went to review the @hyattlondonstratford Regency hotel but was surprised at how easy it was to get there and get around London so easily. There’s so much on the doorstep from the Westfield shopping centre to the @londonaquaticcentre where Tom Daley trains. There’s a huge restaurant scene here with every sort of cuisine you can think of. I loved all the outdoor terraces to. I ate at Alpine restaurant @haugenldn and was impressed with the range of dishes from wild mushroom rosti to fondue. There’s also a great roof terrace.
