Business riders who are Members of the British Airways Executive Club will now be able to collect double Avios when they take a work trip in the UK with Uber for Business.
Uber’s business travel management platform is giving riders two Avios for every £1 spent through business profiles linked to company accounts.
Riders simply need to link their Uber for Business and British Airways Executive Club accounts to begin collecting double Avios. If you don’t have a business account but don’t currently collect Avios, you can collect one Avios per £1 spent by linking your Uber account with your BA account. Even if you don’t use Uber cars you can book trains and coaches through the app as well. Avios posts very quickly from Uber, so it is an easy way to top up quickly.
Jenna Brown, Head of Uber for Business UK, said: “We are constantly looking for ways to improve experiences for people when they are taking trips for work. With Double Avios we feel we’ve identified another way to reward business travellers and make their journeys that bit more enjoyable.”
Uber for Business has extra features that are distinct from the standard Uber offering. For instance, business riders can automate expensing for trips and meals ordered from Uber Eats, select executive vehicles, access priority pickups and additional customer support. Uber for Business is available in more than 10,000 cities and 70 countries around the world, and it now works with more than 170,000 organisations globally.
Nectar to Avios bonus
Nectar is offering a 25% bonus when you convert your Nectar points into Avios. To get the bonus you will need to link your accounts and convert your Nectar points by 14 October 2024 to collect up to 25% bonus Avios.
You can either just convert them manually or sign up for auto conversion. Auto conversion will give you the full 25% bonus whereas manual conversion will give 15%. A minimum of 400 Nectar points are required to make a conversion into Avios which gives you 250 Avios for every 400 Nectar points converted (not including the bonus).
To convert Nectar points into Avios or Avios into Nectar points, you need to visit either the Executive Club Exchange or the Nectar website and have a Nectar account and BAEC account linked. You can manually convert your Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Convert your points”. You can also choose to auto-convert their Nectar points to Avios or vice versa by selecting “Opt in to automatic conversion”. The conversion of points from Avios to Nectar will require date of birth and email validation.
