Capital on Tap Adds Qatar Airways as a Transfer Partner + 10% Off UK Fares
You can now convert your Capital on Tap Reward Points directly into Qatar Airways Avios, saving you from having to transfer your points to BA, then onto Qatar via ‘Transfer Your Avios’.
The transfer rates are the same for QR and BA and depend on your plan. If you have the Free Card, it’s 0.8 Avios per point, whereas the Pro Card (£299 per year) converts at 1:1.
To convert, your Capital on Tap account must be in good standing, and once transferred, Avios cannot be reversed or moved back.

10% Off UK Flights
Capital on Tap is running a discount of up to 10% on Qatar Airways flights from the UK using promo code COTUK25. The offer applies to Economy and Business Class tickets departing from UK airports booked before 31st December 2025 and departing before 1st June 2026.
You must pay with your Capital on Tap card to qualify and book through their dedicated booking link. This is valid for cash bookings, not reward bookings.
For example, a £3,800 Business Class return to Doha drops to £3,420 with the 10% discount, while earning 3,420 points for future Avios transfers with the Pro Card or 2,736 with the free card.
Eligibility
You must be an active director or a majority shareholder (25% or more) of the company and reside in the UK. Your business must be a private Ltd or LLP registered in the UK, with a yearly turnover of at least £24,000.
Capital on Tap has really improved in recent years. It’s great to have the flexibility of transferring direct to the Qatar Privilege Club rather than going via BA, especially after BA removed the feature without warning last month before bringing it back two weeks later, leaving many with Avios stuck in their accounts.
Qatar also has some great reward pricing, often with better value for long-haul routes, particularly in Business. They also tend to release more availability for their own flights, especially the QSuite Business Class. Read more about this in our Qatar Privilege Club guide.
Remember, you also have the option of cashback or converting your points to Radisson Rewards.
Qatar Avios to Marriott Bonvoy Bonus: Worth It?
Qatar Airways Privilege Club has launched a new conversion bonus with Marriott Bonvoy. You will now earn a 30% bonus when you transfer Avios before 15th November 2025.
Usually, 1,000 Avios converts into 500 Marriott Bonvoy points, but under this limited-time deal, you’ll receive 650 Bonvoy points (500 base + 150 bonus).
Worth It?
The short answer is definitely not... Transferring Avios to Marriott Points means you will lose much of the value WITH the bonus and even more without. For example, 10,000 Avios would become 6,500 Marriott points. Bonvoy points are valued at around 0.6p, giving a value of £39. You could get much better value by spending your Avios on flights.
That said, there are a few cases where Avios to Marriott transfers could make sense whether that’s because your Avios are just about to expire or you can get value out of 0.6p per point for a redemption where the cash value is exceptionally high.
If you transfer points the other way round from Marriott to the Qatar Privilege Club, you get a value of 1 Marriott Point = 3 Avios. This is much much better.
Things to Note:
- You can convert up to 500,000 Avios per day
- The minimum transfer value is 1,000 Avios.
- Once you’ve converted Avios, your Privilege Club account will be automatically linked to your Marriott Bonvoy account. Any future conversions of Avios to Points will only be allowed to the same Marriott Bonvoy account used for the first conversion.
- Points will be credited to your Marriott account within 8 weeks.
