Last week I ran a competition with British Airways and their BA i360 observation tower in Brighton. I can now announce the lucky winners:
2 economy flights to Venice with British Airways:
5 runners up prizes of 2 tickets for the Brighton i360:
- Dave R
- Gail O
- Michael G
- Thomas C
- Caroline B
Congratulations to all the winners and if you are one of them, please do share your experience on social media with TLFL. We’d love to hear how you get on! I have contacted everyone by email so please get back to me to acknowledge the email as soon as possible and check your junk folder if you think it’s you!
If you missed out there are likely to be some good deals on winter routes from Gatwick with British Airways in their Black Friday sale which will happen around 24 November, assuming they follow the pattern of previous years. You can also still get a 10% discount on BA’s Gatwick flights using this link. The discount is only available on flights starting from London Gatwick on British Airways mainline flights to any European or UK destination. The discount is available in any cabin but not available on ‘Basic’ fares. The booking period 27 October 2017 until 27 January 2018 inclusive applies for travel from 1 January 2018 until 1 July 2018 inclusive. The discount applies to the flight fare only. All other taxes and charges are not discounted.
The i360 is also worth a visit if you are heading to Brighton. For those not familiar with the British Airways i360, it’s an observation tower which opened in August 2016 in Brighton & Hove. It’s the tallest observation tower in the world at 162m. You will glide slowly up to 138m in a fully enclosed glass observation pod for 360-degree views across Brighton & Hove, the South Downs and the south coast. The British Airways i360 pod is ten times the size of a London Eye capsule and carries up to 200 passengers. Whilst in the pod you can walk around freely and enjoy a drink at the Nyetimber Sky Bar, which serves their award-winning English sparkling wine and other drinks from the region.
They will also be running special Santa flights in the run up to Christmas. You can find more details here.
