AMEX OFFER: 5,000 Avios Bonus with British Airways Holidays + How to Earn 15,000+ Avios on Your Booking

American Express has launched a new targeted offer for British Airways Holidays spend. This is an easy way to earn 5,000 extra Avios with a single booking until 2nd December 2025. Bookings must be made online only through the British Airways Holidays website, and the spend must be £4,000 or more, inclusive of taxes and fees.
The offer is available on targeted BA Premium Plus AMEX cards and potentially others. I have yet to see the offer on a free card. It’s also limited to the first 100,000 Cardmembers. You MUST save the offer to your account to get the bonus. If targeted, you’ll find the offer listed under “Offers” in your AMEX app or account.
The offer states ‘once per card’, but if you have Supplementary Cardholders with the offer, they can also save it to their card and benefit.
5,000 Avios on a £4,000 spend is 1.25 Avios per £1 on top of your usual card earnings if you pay with a British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card, that’s on top of the 1.5 Avios per £1 you will earn from that, increasing your earnings to 2.75 Avios per £1 spent – a great return just for saving an offer to your card.
You could earn 15,000 Avios from the booking (5,000 from the bonus, 4,000 from your BA Holidays spend and 6,000 from your BA Premium Plus spend).
If there’s any chance you’ll book a holiday of £4,000+ by 2nd December, save this to your card while you remember!

Hilton Brings Back the ‘Stay More Earn More’ Promotion With 67% More Points
Last month, Hilton ran a ‘Stay More Earn More’ promotion with just 1,500 bonus points per stay. This month, the promotion has returned, but with 2,500 points per stay.
Depending on the value you get for your points, this is £5-10 per stay (average £8.25). This is a good return for a cheap Hilton hotel, but for high-end hotels, it’s not a good deal! For example, a £70 stay would have an average return of 11%, whereas a £900 stay would have a 0.9% return.
The new offer is valid for stays through the end of the year, and you must register to earn bonus points. There’s no minimum night requirement, and the offer applies to all Hilton brands worldwide.

If you’re planning multiple stays, you’ll collect the 2,500-point bonus each time. The bonus is awarded on top of your regular base and elite earnings, and there’s no upper limit to the number of Bonus Points you can earn. T

Eurostar Orders Double-Decker High-Speed Trains for Launch in 2031

Double-decker trains are something the UK should really have. Eurostar has placed a €2 billion order with Alstom for 30 new Eurostar Celestia double-deck high-speed trains, with an option for up to 20 more. The fleet will be named ‘Eurostar Celestia‘ – a name designed to capture the premium experience and company that links a constellation of cities across Europe.
The first units are expected to roll out in January 2031, entering passenger service by May 2031, with six of the new trains operational.
Each train will seat around 540 passengers per set, doubling up for over 1,000 seats per service when two are coupled. That’s a 20% capacity boost over Eurostar’s current e320 trains. If you travel often via Eurostar, you’ll be familiar with the steep steps to board. The new trains will only be 16cm higher due to the first floor being much lower.
The new design will pave the way for the recently announced, longer routes, including London to Geneva and London to Frankfurt.

Gwendoline Cazenave, CEO, Eurostar, said:
“Placing this milestone order marks the concrete realisation of Eurostar’s ambitious growth strategy – to reach 30 million passengers by investing in a brand-new fleet. We’re particularly proud to bring double-decker trains to the UK for the very first time.
“Customers can expect a very special new train with Eurostar Celestia, which will offer exceptional comfort, a unique Eurostar experience and new surprises to be revealed. This is a golden age for international sustainable travel – and Eurostar is leading the race.”
This is great news, especially with Eurostar’s plans to become the first rail operator to join SkyTeam.

Do you mean “paying for” a BA Holiday by 2 December, rather than simply booking one?
