Hilton weekend sale
Hilton hotels have launched their latest sale offering up to 25% off. The sale rates are only available for weekend stays in the UK and Europe between 16th June and 8th October 2017.
There is currently an exclusive preview booking period for Hilton Honors members until 19th June. The sale becomes public from 20th June. It is easy and free to join Hilton Honors here which also gives you free Wi-Fi and the chance to earn Avios as well as Hilton points on your stay. As there is limited availability at the sale rate, you would be wise to book during the Honors member’s period.
The ‘up to 25% off’ discount is on the Best Available Rate and Best Available Bed & Breakfast Rate. Therefore it may not be 25% off the rate you were able to get on advance purchase. An example would be my recent booking at the Hilton Bankside in London. I had booked this on the normal Hilton Honors rate at £255 but have just changed this to the sale rate at £231, which is more like a 10% discount.
In London, the Conrad and the Waldorf Hilton are participating. I reviewed the Waldorf Hilton here. If you are visiting Berlin, I also recommend the Hilton Berlin, which is probably the best Hilton I have stayed in.
The catch with the sale is that the rates are non refundable, where as the Hilton Honors usual rates are refundable. You also need to pay in full in advance.

Hilton 8 Avios per £1
I earn a lot of Avios via the Avios.com eStore, especially with Hilton hotels. There are a wide range of shops and hotel chains featured on the site. You will also receive your usual Hilton points and Avios (if selected as earning preference) on your stay.
There is a new promotion on Avios.com eStore to earn up to 8 Avios (usually 6) per £1 spent on Hilton hotels until 03/09/2017. The link on the Avios website takes you straight to the Hilton website where you book as normal. The 8 Avios per £1 is on all bookings except US, Canada & South America hotels which you will get a lower amount for. The Avios will not be in your account until 90-120 days after you have completed your stay. In my experience, it is usually at least 120 days, so don’t expect them in a hurry!
