The British Airways Holidays Spring Sale: Up to £300 off

The latest British Airways Holidays sale is live, with bookings open until 23:59 on 30th April for travel between 1st May 2026 and 26th March 2027.
The discount varies depending on your spend:
- £300 discount with a minimum spend of £10,000 per booking
- £200 discount with a minimum spend of £5,000 per booking
- £100 discount with a min spend of £2,500 per booking
- £50 discount with a min spend of £1,250 per booking
A £300 discount works out at 3% off, and the other discounts are 4% off. It’s not huge, and in many cases, you’ll save by booking flights and hotels separately, and you’ll receive the bonus Avios and Tier Points.
With all the disruption going on at the moment, at least you’ll be ATOL protected rather than booking things separately.

Marriott: Up to 40% Off Points Purchases
Marriott has just launched a discount when you buy or gift points until 23rd June 2026.
This is a targeted discount and varies by account, with a maximum of 40% off. This time, I’ve been offered a 30% discount.

The number of points you can purchase per year has also increased to 150,000 (up from 100,000). Similar offers in the past have increased the limit further, so there’s a chance this may happen later in the year if you max out your allowance.
Marriott also runs regular offers like this, but they are usually structured as points bonuses. The value of points with this offer is actually much better.
The standard price is $12.50 (£9.23) per 1,000 points. This promotion simply reduces that cost, depending on your discount:
| Offer | Cost for 150,000 Points | Cost per Point |
|---|---|---|
| 30% | $1,312.50 (£969) | 0.88¢ (0.66p) |
| 35% | $1,218.75 (£900) | 0.81¢ (0.61p) |
| 40% | $1,125.00 (£831) | 0.75¢ (0.56p) |
Before you purchase points, consider whether you can get meaningful value. Look at the stays you want to book and compare the points vs cash rate.
For example, a night at the Marriott Marquis would cost either 92,000 points or £654.

If you were to purchase those points in this promotion, you’d be looking at a night for £607 with the 30% discount down to £515 with the 40% discount, and there are thousands of examples like this, especially at high-end properties.
This doesn’t even factor in the 5th night free on reward stays, which can significantly improve the value.
To take advantage of this offer, your account must have been open for at least 90 days (or 30 days with qualifying account activity). Once purchased, points will be in your account within 72 hours.

Oneworld Welcomes Hawaiian Airlines: A New Way to Earn and Spend Avios

Last week, Hawaiian became a member of Oneworld, opening up a variety of new opportunities. This comes after Alaska Airlines’ $1.9 billion acquisition.
You can now:
- Credit your Hawaiian Airlines flight to a Oneworld loyalty programme of your choice (e.g. The British Airways Club or the Qatar Privilege Club). There are plenty of options across Hawaiians 230 daily flights.
- Book Hawaiian as a partner flight via other Oneworld airline websites, including using Avios. You can also build a single itinerary, for example, flying to the US with BA or American and connecting onwards to Hawaii with Hawaiian, with bags checked through. As with most airlines, availability during peak US holiday periods is likely to be very limited.
- Book flights with Oneworld airlines via the Hawaiian Airlines site or app
- Have your oneworld status recognised when flying Hawaiian
- Access new destinations not previously covered by the Oneworld route map, including Papeete (Tahiti), Pago (American Samoa), Hilo (Hawaii) and Rarotonga (Cook Islands).
CEO of the Oneworld alliance, said:
“We are delighted to officially welcome Hawaiian Airlines into the Oneworld family, further strengthening our alliance’s footprint in the Pacific region and the United States. Renowned for its award-winning hospitality for almost 100 years, Hawaiian Airlines will make travel to the beautiful islands of Hawai‘i more connected and rewarding for oneworld customers, delivering an elevated journey that brings the spirit of aloha to our alliance.”
