NEWS & OFFERS: Asia business class from £1355, Flash 50% buy Avios bonus and 100% Leaders Club buy bonus

  • 20/08/2026
  • Michele

In this post:

  • Asia business class deals from £1355
  • Qatar buy Avios 50% bonus flash sale until 25 August 2026
  • Up to 100% bonus on Leaders Club points purchase (Leading Hotels of the World)

Asia business class deals from £1355

Good business class deals are hard to come by at the moment, particularly for the US. However, Asia is a different matter with some Middle East airlines slashing prices to try to stimulate more customers after the recent conflict. This seems to be resulting in average prices dropping across the board, particularly from Amsterdam, so I thought it was worth a quick look at what is available.

Amsterdam to:

  • Bangkok
    • £1500 – Finnair (very limited 9 day trips Nov/Jan)
    • £1666 – Qatar (Oct/Nov only)
    • £1593 – Emirates
  • Singapore
    • £1489 – Oman Air (Nov 26 very limited)
  • Phuket
    • £1473 – Oman Air (Nov – lots of dates)
    • £1800 – Etihad
  • Dubai
    • £1355 – Oman Air (Tues & Sat until 1 Dec 26)

Copenhagen to:

  • Bangkok – £1573 Etihad (Nov, early Dec 6 day trip)
  • Phuket – £1607 Etihad (Nov and Dec 8 day trip)

Qatar buy Avios 50% bonus flash sale until 25 August 2026

If you need to buy or gift Avios, Qatar is currently running a sale with a 50% bonus until 25 August. As usual, my advice is to boost your Avios via your BA account if you have earned any Avios in the last 30 days, as it is cheaper. However, if you need to buy Avios, 50% is the regular bonus.

A minimum of 5,000 Avios must be purchased or gifted to get the bonus. You can buy 250,000 Avios per year.

You must have earned a minimum of 1 Avios since enrolment to purchase additional Avios or have a minimum balance of 1 Avios to gift Avios.

You can find the purchase page here.

Up to 100% bonus on Leaders Club points purchase (Leading Hotels of the World)

Gleneagles

If you are considering a stay at a Leading Hotels of the World hotel, you should definitely join their Loyalty scheme, Leaders Club, as it has a lot of perks even before you stay. These include upgrade priority upon arrival, daily continental breakfast for two, early check-in and late check-out options, and complimentary in-room WiFi for eligible stays. There is also a guaranteed upgrade after only one stay.

They also give points, but you can also buy them. When there is a bonus on buying points, it is always worth checking whether your hotel would be cheaper with points than with cash.

The current promotion gives the following bonus rates, which are fairly standard:

  • 2,000-11,000 points – 50% bonus
  • 12,000-29,000 points – 75% bonus
  • 30,000-75,000 points – 100% bonus

Leaders Club members can purchase Leaders Club points in increments of 1,000 Leaders Club points up to a maximum of 50,000 Leaders Club points in a calendar year. Bonus points do not count toward the maximum number of points a member can purchase during a calendar year.

Hotel redemptions start from 4,500 Leaders Club points.

You can find the Leaders Club here.
