Best redemptions for 2024
It’s never too early to start planning your dream Avios getaway for 2024, using BA reward seats to get there. Savvy Avios collectors know that searching for reward seats is best done in advance – that way you can snap up seats before other travellers get the chance. So, whether you’re thinking about taking the kids on a fun-packed adventure, living the high life with a luxury holiday, jetting off on an indulgent, romantic break for two, or exploring lots of magical sights on a city break, here’s the best BA reward seat availability showing on RFF’s Search calendar.
London – Bahamas
BA must have recently released seats for the Bahamas because right now, there are loads of Business Class seats available to book with Avios from June right through to December 2024! There are plenty of dates with between 4 and 6 Business Class seats, particularly in spring and winter. September and October are getting booked up quickly, and we’d expect the summer months to follow suit, so don’t delay with this one.
London – Budapest
Hungary’s capital is great for a city break. Bursting with art nouveau architecture, quirky bars and luxurious bathhouses. Reward seat availability is choc-a-block right through to December, with most days having 6 Economy and 4 Business Class seats to book. Act fast if you’re considering a getaway in the summer months; however, there are fewer Economy seats available between June and September, although lots of days still have 3 or 4 Economy seats right now.
London – Italy
One for the lovers and the foodies, too. A few Italian destinations have great availability over 2024. London – Verona has an abundance of available reward seats right through to November, including the busy summer months, with most days having 6 Economy and 4 Business Class seats to book. London – Rome is the same, with even better winter availability. London – Florence has poor Economy availability up until May 2024, but from then on, there are lots of dates with 4 Economy and 4 Business Class seats up for grabs.
London – Johannesburg
Whilst Cape Town is a notoriously difficult route to book BA reward seats, Johannesburg is a great gateway to South Africa for Avios travellers. This megacity is seriously cool – with loads of trendy hotels, bars and restaurants, as well as being steeped in history. Premium Economy availability is plentiful, with loads of days across 2024 having between 2 – 6 reward seats to book. June to December has some really strong pockets of Business Class availability – lots of dates have 4 or 6 seats to book. Those seeking out First Class seats are in for a treat; March, June, July and November all have days with seats to book.
London – Las Vegas
If you’re fancying a trip to Sin City, 2024 might just be your year! Right now, there are some great BA reward seats up for grabs. If you’re happy to fly Premium Economy, there are loads of seats to book from April 2024, with loads of dates having six seats. If Business Class is your preferred cabin, look from August onwards, when you’ll find dates with up to 3 seats to book.
London – Santiago, Chile
Chile has been earmarked as a trending destination for 2024, and it’s not hard to see why. With its wine tours and vineyards, biking, hiking and climbing, not to mention its growing reputation for arts and cuisine, Chile is a great destination for travellers of all ages. It’s typically a difficult destination to find reward seat availability, but right now, there are some great opportunities to book seats with Avios.
There’s good Business Class availability between June and September, with lots of days having 2 to 4 seats to book. Business Class availability then drops between October and November, although it picks up again at the end of the year. If you’re looking to book first-class seats, there’s a fantastic patch of availability between June and October, with lots of dates having 2 or 3 seats up for grabs.
