  • 05/06/2023
  • Michele

Spending Avios can sometimes be tricky.  We now regularly bring you a look every fortnight at what routes have the best Avios availability, thanks to Reward Flight Finder.

If there is a particular focus you would like in an article for Avios, let us know in the comments below.

What is Reward Flight Finder?

Reward Flight Finder offers a free and paid service to find Avios seats for a whole year’s worth of flights at a glance. One of the most useful features is available on the paid plan where you can set alerts when Avios seats are released on the flights you want. You can also use the map feature which shows you all the Avios destinations available on a particular date.

There is currently a fault with BA’s own yearly availability calendar as it is not showing return flight availability correctly, so it’s a good time to think about using RFF instead. I find it much quicker to use than BA’s version, with only one step to go through to access the data.

RFF offer monthly and yearly plans. Here are the options:

Silver membership – from £3.99 monthly or Silver Annual £39.99 (current offer for 2 months free)

Silver membership includes:

  • Unlimited reward seat searches
  • Get reward seat Alerts within 1 hour
  • Worldwide Map tool
  • Set up to 5 Alerts at once
  • Get email Alerts

Gold membership – from £6.99 monthly or Annual £69.99 (current offer gives 2 months free)

  • Unlimited reward seat searches
  • Get instant reward seat Alerts
  • Worldwide Map tool
  • Set up to 20 Alerts at once
  • Get email Alerts
  • Get SMS Alerts

You can find out more and sign up here.

Adults Escape

Long Haul

London – Barbados

Barbados
There are some Business Class seats showing on days in both March and May 2024, with up to 4 seats on these dates. These are incredibly popular though so if they sound like your perfect spring break then get them booked before they go!

It’s also worthwhile to note that there are good options available in Premium Economy during March, April and May, with dates having 2 seats. The London – Barbados flights are around 8 hours long, and you can book daytime flights. So if you’re happy to travel in Premium Economy during the day (when you won’t need to sleep) then this might work well for you.

London – Cayman Islands

If you’re looking for a fly and flop escape then BA reward seats to Georgetown, Grand Cayman are ideal for you.

There are Business Class reward seats available in March and April, and lots are starting to come through now we’re seeing May availability. Lots of dates have 2 or 4 seats available.

London – Saint Lucia

Very surprisingly, there’s some great availability for Business Class reward seats popping up in  April and also May now we’re receiving the flight info. Lots of dates have up to 4 seats available.

London – Jamaica

Bahia Jamaica

Another in-demand destination, you’ll have to jump to book these reward seats whilst they’re still up for grabs. Right now, there are a couple of dates in March 2024 with Business Class availability, however, April is looking excellent, with loads of dates having 4 Business Class seats available to book. May is also showing strong seat options too, with dates having up to 4 seats.

Short Haul

London – Bologna, Italy

Bologna Italy

Bologna is one of the most popular short haul reward seat destinations for Avios collectors, but right now March and April 2024 are showing excellent availability, with most dates having 4 or 6 Economy seats available and 6 Business Class seats.

London – Budapest

Budapest Hungary

Budapest is a favourite of the city-break crowd, who love their fill of culture, architecture and dining. There’s minimal availability for the entirety of summer 2023, and autumn is also booking up fast, but March and April 2024 have really strong reward seat availability. Most days have 6 Economy and 6 Business Class seats free to book at the moment.

London – Venice

top 5 things to do in venice free flights

Another traveller favourite. March and April 2024 have good reward seat availability. Most days have 4 Economy and 3 Business Class seats up for grabs right now.

Family friendly

Short Haul

London – Larnaca, Cyprus

Larnaca, Cyprus

Cyprus is a hugely popular family destination, and in spring the weather is kinder for little ones than the very hot summers you can expect. Summer and autumn 2023 have very limited availability, but March and April 2024 have excellent reward seat options – including spring holidays. Infact, most days in March and April have 6 Economy seats and 6 Business Class seats available.

London – Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca

Another in-demand family destination, travellers also have to contend with those looking to book a city break too. You’ll be pleased to see that March and April 2024 have good reward seat options – including spring holidays. There are dates with 4 Economy seats and 6 Business Class seats free to book.

London – Palermo, Sicily

Palermo, Sicily

Palermo has grown in popularity in recent years, particularly since it was featured on The White Lotus TV series. It’s a gorgeous destination for kids and adults alike. The younger generation adore the beaches and vibrant community, where adults adore the classic Italian culture and atmosphere.

Because it’s so en-vogue, and BA only offers flights on a few days a week, reward seats are non-existent until March 2024. There are Economy and Business Class reward seats available from the end of March and throughout April. May also shows a good level of availability with up to 6 seats in Economy and 4 in Business Class.

Long Haul

London – Cancun, Mexico

Cancun, Mexico

RFF has seen Mexico grow hugely as a reward seat destination during 2022/23, and it’s no surprise considering it offers something for everyone. There’s lots of Economy and Premium Economy reward seat availability for March and April 2024 – including spring holidays, with up to 6 Economy and 4 Premium Economy. You can also compare daytime and nighttime flights. If you’re opting for Business Class seats, they start popping up in April and May, with dates having 2 or 4 seats to book.

London – Montreal, Canada

Montreal Canada

Montreal is great for kids. You’ll never be short of things to do or places to go. It also has a year-round events program of festivals and music events to keep them entertained, as well as the adults.

Reward seat availability in March and April 2024 is fantastic. There are daily flights and most days have loads of seats available to book. You’re looking at dates with 5 Economy, 4 Premium Economy and 6 Business Class seats at the moment.
