A Spring city break is one of the best ways to travel, especially between February and May, when you can enjoy a change of scenery before the peak summer crowds arrive. Here’s some of the best Avios reward seat availability for British Airways using Avios. Take a look with Reward Flight Finder:

London Gatwick – Seville

Gorgeous plazas, tapas bars, orange blossom and spectacular architecture. Especially appealing in April and May, though avoid the busiest festival dates if you prefer quieter streets. There’s some nice availability in both Economy and Business Class in March, April and May 2027, with a good number of days having 6 Economy and 4 Business Class seats to book with your Avios balance.

London City, Heathrow – Amsterdam

Canal walks, museums, cafés and tulip season. A great all-rounder. There’s plentiful reward seat availability in Economy and Business Class between February and May 2027, with most days having 6 seats in each cabin to book.

London Heathrow – Rome

Ancient landmarks, piazzas, gelato and extraordinary Italian food. Spring is ideal for walking, but Easter 2027 falls on 28 March, so expect particularly busy periods around then. Right now, many days from February 2027 show solid availability; you’ll find lots of days with 6 seats in Economy and 4 in Business Class.

London Heathrow – Budapest

Beautiful riverside architecture, thermal baths, ruin bars and excellent value for restaurants and drinks. It’s a great option if you want a city break that feels special without a Mediterranean price tag. There’s a lot of Economy and Business Class availability between February and May 2027, with most days having 6 seats in each cabin.

London City, Gatwick and Heathrow – Nice

The French Riviera offers a lovely mix of seaside promenades, markets, cafés and day trips to nearby towns such as Antibes. Expect pleasant walking weather, though swimming may still be chilly. Between February and May 2027 you’ll find plentiful availability in both Economy and Business Class. Many days have 6 seats in Economy and 4 in Business Class to book with your Avios.

London Heathrow- Krakow

A gorgeous historic centre, atmospheric cafés, hearty Polish food and generally good value. It can still be cold in February and March, so late spring is my preference. Between February and May 2027, you’ll find a great selection of days with 6 seats in Economy and 2 seats in Business.

London Heathrow – Istanbul

A fascinating blend of European and Asian culture, grand mosques, bustling bazaars, Bosphorus ferries and memorable food. There’s plenty to explore even if the weather turns showery. Flights between February and May 2027 offer days with 6 seats in Economy and 4 seats in Business.

London Heathrow – Bologna

A brilliant choice for food lovers: fresh pasta, mortadella, lively markets and miles of elegant covered walkways. It’s less touristy than Rome or Venice. There’s great availability between February and May 2027 in both Economy and Business Class. Many days have 6 seats in Economy and 4 in Business Class to book with points.

London Heathrow – Prague

A fairytale old town, castle views, historic cafés and excellent beer. It can be chilly in February, but late spring is lovely for riverside walks. Economy availability is good between February and May 2027 – with lots of days having 6 seats. There’s a nice amount of Business Class availability too, with many days having 5 seats.

London Heathrow- Naples

Authentic pizza, bustling streets, historic churches and easy excursions to Pompeii. It’s energetic, characterful and ideal if food is a major part of your trip. There are lots of Economy reward seats available in February and May 2027, with many days having 6 seats. Business has a good number of days with 3 seats.

London Gatwick and Heathrow – Lyon

Lyon is one of France’s best food cities, with beautiful Renaissance streets, riverside promenades, atmospheric hidden passageways and traditional bouchon restaurants. At the moment, there’s an abundance of both Economy and Business seats between February and May 2027, with most days having 6 seats in each cabin.
