BA’s Concorde Room at Heathrow T5 to reopen
According to a reliable source on Flyertalk, British Airways’ Concorde Room is to reopen on 1 September. Having sat sweltering on the Concorde Terrace today, this is welcome news. The CCT as its known, is what used to be the First class lounge terrace but is currently being used as the Concorde Terrace. Recently it has been very busy as well as the First lounge being full to bursting. The Concorde Room will be accessible to Gold Guest List Members with a Concorde Room Card and those travelling in First class.
Unsurprisingly it will be open initially for limited times 05:15 to 15:00. The First Wing security is also currently only open until 2-2.15pm although you can still use the check-in and then have to head over to the South Security Fast Track.
There have been some minor refurbishments since it was last open. The Boardroom has gone and is now a room full of sleep pods. The lounger-type chairs have also gone from the terrace. If you were a Concorde fan, there is now a nose cone on the terrace and a display of memorabilia.

Perhaps they are hoping for more Transatlantic travel come September?
That would be good news for many people – for many different reasons – but I suspect it’s just to ease congestion at peak times in the First lounge. (Fingers crossed that I’m wrong on this assumption ????)

What dates are these fares for, I have searched every website from Virgin direct to Google Matrix and can’t find anything under £1900?!!!
They are the advertised lowest fares until end of September but they may well have sold out. It’s only for Antigua and Barbados.
Why are they closing it at 3pm when there are multiple flights beyond that, not least of which 2 x LAX
