The main benefit it offers is one reward night for every ten nights stayed. You will still have to pay the taxes and fees for the stay but it is still a good programme. The advantage over other schemes is that you can accumulate your ten nights across more than 100,000 independent and chain partner hotels. You are free to redeem the reward night at more than 90,000 eligible hotels around the world, including independent hotels that do not have loyalty programmes of their own.There are no blackout dates and the system is very simple rather than worrying about how many points you will get for a stay and having to keep an eye out for promotions. Hotels participating in the Welcome Rewards programme are clearly marked on Hotels.com. The ten nights can be booked at once or separately. They can also be across multiple eligible hotels. The reward night is valued at the average rate of your ten stay. If you want to redeem for a higher rate room, you simply pay the difference.A couple of rules to be aware of:

Sign in to your account BEFORE you book a property at hotels.com.
Credits towards a free night are automatically added to your account after you complete your stay.
Simply log into your account before making a booking, and you will be given the option to use your free night.
Welcome Rewards credits do not expire as long as there is activity on the account every 12 months.
You can’t collect or redeem nights when you pay using a discount coupon or if you’re making a package booking.

Secret Prices

The other advantage of the scheme is that you will also have access to secret prices which aren’t available to everyone. They will also not appear on hotel comparison sites.

Finally you will also be able to get cashback on Top Cashback in addition to the Rewards scheme albeit at a reduced rate (currently 5.5%) .
